Food was great. Service was not. The waiter was not friendly at all, she seemed annoyed that she had to work on my table, which led to a pretty bad experience. She dropped the bread and butter off on the table without a description of what the two types of butter were. I asked about it and she responded that one was regular and the other had pepper in it, and was once again annoyed with having to respond to my question. I tried asking questions about items on the menu and she was just not really responsive. It was like I, a paying customer, was a burden. When the food came, my knife wasn’t swapped out, even though it visibly had butter still on it (they didn’t serve a separate butter knife). They also didn’t collect the empty bread basket when they brought the main. The empty bread basket was left on the table the entire time (no offer to add more bread or take the basket off the table). Overall it felt like I was a burden being there. The food was great, but because the service was terrible (especially at this price point in Bogota - a city with a fantastic restaurant scene) I won’t be back and can’t...
Read moreCasa might just be one of my favorite restaurants in Bogotá—it’s absolutely incredible. The food showcases outstanding Spanish gastronomy, executed with precision and flavor. The croquetas were mind-blowing, the chicharrón was fantastic, and the huevos rotos were a perfect balance of texture and taste. For the main course, we chose the Lomo a la pimienta, paired beautifully with a fresh fig salad. And to finish—Tarta de queso. It’s an absolute must!
Beyond the food, the ambiance is just as remarkable. Set in the former home of renowned Colombian architect Guillermo Bermúdez, the restaurant exudes charm and character. The design and styling are impeccable, making it an ideal spot for a first date or a special evening out.
Overall, Casa is a truly wonderful experience. Whether you’re a Bogotá local or just getting to know the city, this is a place you won’t want to miss. Highly...
Read moreWe have eaten here twice - once inside during the afternoon not busy and last night (Friday) on the patio very busy. Excellent food but pricey and good G&T drinks and wines so so but way overpriced. The service was sadly slow and uneven both times. All our appetizers (tempura langustinos) and entrees (Asado, pato confit, arroz de toro) were delicious (the Asado was outstanding with the wine sauce) but it took forever to get our drinks which we ordered at the beginning while we looked over the menu. The bus staff was also slow and only took parts of the empties and plates. Finally when we got the meals I finally got to order a glass of wine just as I was finishing. Our final coffees were good - wife and son had with Baileys and mine just con leche. We went in there only since long wait times at the neighbors but never again. Only on a laid back day for drinks but not wines...
