Food served cold, staff were rude, got food poisoning.

We came here excited to find what looked like a good Japanese restaurant in Colombia, in fact this place seems to be copy of the British restaurant chain ‘Wagamama’. I ordered the ‘Japanese Curry Rice’ which is a Katsu Curry for everyone else. When it arrived it looked great, but upon taking my first bite I discovered it was cold. The curry and chicken were tepid, the rice was actually freezing cold as if it had just come out of the fridge.

I immediately called the waiter over to tell him, he took it away but then brought it back and said ‘the rice is supposed to be cold, it’s sushi rice, that’s how it’s served’. Cool, but this isn’t sushi, it’s curry. On what planet does curry and rice get served cold? I’ve eaten curry 1000s of times around the world and never once has anyone thought that it should be served cold, is that a Colombian delicacy?

When I refused to eat the cold food, they said they would ‘warm it up as a special exception’, and clearly went away and microwaved it for a bit. It was not good. When then refused to tip given the awful food, I got hounded by staff who once again told me nothing was wrong because ‘it’s supposed to be served cold’. Okay, I guess Japan and the entire rest of the world is wrong serving their Katsu Curry hot; this place is the true master of Japanese food and knows more 🤷🏻‍♂️ don’t call it ‘Japanese curry and rice’ on your menu then, call it ‘cold curry and rice’ so that everyone knows they’re going to get this horrible cold dish.

Visité el restaurante para consumir para llevar (en el horario de la cena), precisamente solicité la carta para elegir qué quería, en ningún momento me informaron que algo de lo que ordené no estaba fresco y que era de los empaques refrigerados desde la mañana. Pedí dos makis (Philadelphia y California clásico), el pedido se demoró al menos 30 minutos en estar listo, lo abrí en mi casa (queda a 4 cuadras) y espantoso, arroz crudo, makis desbaratados, el California claramente no estaba fresco, era del que preparan en la mañana y refrigeran todo el día (no me avisaron, para la menos haber pedido otra cosa), las porciones pequeñas y muy mal preparadas. Es caro y esto que me entregaron era como un sushi de supermercado, horrendo. Por supuesto, el servicio pésimo, siempre nos atienden con muy mala actitud, los trabajadores se notan cansados y explotados (lo que se refleja en la comida). Muy desagradable experiencia, wok es cada vez peor y no hacen absolutamente nada para mejorar, incluso han disminuido las porciones y el servicio va peor. Completamente irritante y decepcionante.
