Xarape del 8 Bogota — Restaurant in Bogota, Capital District

This is a very sad Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere seems happy and bright but the food is horrible. I ordered fajitas, now usually fajitas are cooked fresh. It's just meat and veggies stir fried with some Mexican style seasonings. What I got was not fresh at all. It tasted as if it had been setting in a warming tray all day and was more like Chinese stir fry.

I ordered a michalada, another mistake. It's a Mexican restaurant I should get a Mexican michalada, what I got was not that. I'm not exactly sure what it was as it didn't seems like a Colombian michalada either. Just some lime flavored fizzy water.

Sad thing is the rice and beans were the best part...

Un lugar agradable y muy lindo.

Al llegar, una chica nos recibió de una manera muy amena, al ingresar otra niña (Era cómo la encargada de liderar meseros) nos indicó que podríamos ubicarnos en cualquier mesa, decidimos una cerca de la entrada y ella nos dijo que por el sol nos incomodariamos. Una excelente intención!...

Después, al sentarnos llegaron las cartas de comidas y bebidas, al elegir; el mesero nos explicaba con paciencia la forma de cada plato (IMPORTANTE, ya qué al ser nuevo en un lugar no se saben muchas cosas y que bueno es NO SUPONER que los clientes ya tienen la idea clara) decidimos pedir 3 platos para probar diferentes propuestas...Y adivinen??? TODAS GENIALES!!!

Pensamos en conocer la parte posterior del lugar, ya qué es la temática del restaurante y hoo! la comida llegó en menos de 10 minutos con las bebidas, no alcanzamos a tomar las fotos, ya qué fue casi de inmediato la llegada de los alimentos.

Nos dimos el lujo de ver el burrito XL, qué mostrocidad! El chico que lo pidió no pudo...🤣Es inmenso...

Referente a la comida es algo delicioso, diferente, delicado, servido con mucho orden y respeto por cliente... Sentí mucho amor en el ambiente! Lamento los malos comentarios, pero siendo domingo, 2pm con mis acompañantes, nos sentimos muy felices y COMPLACIDOS de pagar 130.000 pesos por 3 platos diferentes, incluyendo las bebidas!

El precio (Muy bajo para mí y para las cantidades) no se compara con el momento tan agradable, incluso; una señorita del lugar se ofreció a tomarnos unas fotos después de finalizar con la comida.

DEFINITIVAMENTE un plan a repertir!

Dios les bendiga más, bello y acogedor lugar... Por favor sigan dándole más amorcito a sus empleados! Hacen un excelente...

Simply put, the food is bland. Under salted, and under seasoned BLAND! We waited for an hour to get our food and when it finally did come, two dishes from our table were missing. Twice I had to ask how much longer I’d have to wait for my food to be served. Their novelty item is a giant burrito, big enough to feed a family of four which seems to be a best seller. My theory is that these orders slow up the kitchen (thus explaining the delay in our food) and place the gimmick of a giant burrito over the quality of flavour. Will...
