I went for late lunch with a group of friends, and could not have been more disappointed. We had made a reservation, so our table was ready. Service was mediocre, and inattentive. We were given a basket of bread - baguette that was not warmed up or toasted - with a spreadable sauce. We ordered one appetizer and four entrees all at the same time. It took a solid hour for the appetizer to be brought to our table, and forty more minutes for the main dishes. I had to get out from our table to talk to one of the many servers they have to find out the status of our order. We were told they were very busy, and all of a sudden the food was ready.
Food presentation not to the standard of a supposedly high end restaurant, and quality unacceptable. Two of us ordered the same chicken dish - Salerno style rotisserie chicken - served with fried potatoes that were over cooked and reheated. My daughter had a pasta dish that was nothing but pappardelle with supermarket pasta sauce. We added chicken to her dish and were charged an outrageous amount of money. My other friend’s meat dish was also nothing extraordinary. I made the complaint and they removed my dish (chicken) from the bill, but not the one my daughter’s friend had because she ate the chicken but not the potatoes. We were given ONE complimentary dessert with three spoons for a party of four to try to make it up. Do yourself a favor avoid this place, there are many more excellent restaurants...
Read moreBack to Odiseo to try their Seasonal Menu….for the new Appetizer we tried the Tiradito de Sandia, Straciatella and Tataki de Atún Divorciado - all were great plates to get you started with the magic they cook in the kitchen- all plates were delicious and my favorite was the Tataki Atún definitely a must try. Drinks we started with Sweet Chili and Very Special and were great .. Gambas are always a must if you visit the restaurant — for the new Entrees we tried the Lomo con Camarones and Salmon Kale and were great plates with a delicious balance of flavors. We tried other cocktails as well that were great but a must is always the espresso Martini. We ended the night trying the two seasonal desserts and overall the Volcán de Arequipe was great. My only observation and suggestion would be a revised version of the Torta de Vacío because it lack that Odiseo touch to visually capture you from the start and it overall would suggest adding Graham cookies crumble at the bottom and perhaps like a drizzle of Sweet sauce from a fruit as the plate itself looked the saddest- nevertheless an overall fantastic experience...
Read moreI highly recommend making a reservation today. We were greeted by very friendly and professional staff that seated us immediately and honored our notes on the reservation.
Although it was busy our waiter was very attentive. I can’t quite remember their name but he’s a very tall gentleman with a deep voice. He not only was excellent in his attention to detail but also was a photographer for a group of women who were having a wonderful time. It’s nice to see when people go above and beyond what is required of them to make the night memorable for guest.
We were also offered to sample the wine of the evening and although I chose not to order a full glass or bottle it was very popular with...
