Crepes & Waffles San Martín — Restaurant in Cartagena

Make sure you get your order correct!!! Went in for dinner based on the good reviews but walked out before we even ate. Terribly slow service and when our entrees came it turns out the kitchen had mixed up the sauces; not to mention both plates were cold. No problem, you might think to send them back? Not so fast: BOTH the waitress and manager refused to admit the sauces had been mixed (there IS a distinct difference between curry and stroganoff ya know!). We asked kindly to send them back and the manager rolled her eyes at me and snarled a look like I was at fault. They finally agreed to take my friends plate back but refused to remove my plate though I advised I didn't want it. By this time, other dining patrons were getting involved trying to help us, but all of the women working at this restaurant couldn't comprehend nor understand the dilemma. We decided it was best to leave and left a small amount of money to cover only the drinks. Will NEVER eat here again since they had the nerve to call the police on us within minutes after leaving. Casual, affordable, very good flavors, bottom line: a great place to try. Everything in the menu is actually very good. Green mango lemonade is super nice, the elixir smoothie is amazing, the arequipe waffle is definitely something you won’t wanna share… The pita siciliana is super nice if you’re in the mood for something like a thin pizza but a lot lighter, all the crepes are delicious here. So please don’t order something boring like ham and cheese crepe, or crepe bolognese… Have fun with the flavors here, you won’t regret it. And chances are; you will wanna come back for more. For the breakfast lover’s: they have a different menu on Sundays, (this happens only on Sunday) and their chocolate swirl bread is a favorite of many, the options are as interesting and fun as the everyday menu; with pumpkin pancakes, choclo and cheese waffles, capuchino with baileys or (even better) amaretto! I always come here whenever I stay...

When we got to the restaurant there were only a couple. There were around 6 servers all talking amongst themselves not paying attention to anyone but themselves. I had to walk from the front door to where they were to get their attention. We were told to sit anywhere we wanted. Took them 10 minutes to bring us a menu. Then another 10 minutes before coming over to get our order. Throughout this wait they kept congregating amongst themselves and talking. No attention paid to anyone. I finally had to finally call one over to take our order. Ten minutes and we got our food. I think it came fast because we were the only customers by then. I asked for bread with our meal twice to different servers. I’m still waiting for it. Lazy, lazy, lazy service. I’ve been to the same outfit in a Medellin. Excellent service there but not in this place...
