I don’t enjoy leaving negative feedback, especially when I know how hard many people in this industry work, and I want to acknowledge that the blow-dry stylists at this salon are very talented. They work miracles and clearly take pride in what they do.

But I walked into this salon with long, healthy, beautiful blonde hair, and left with choppy layers so poorly executed that my hair was thinned out, uneven, and left shapeless. It was a heartbreaking experience. I went to another salon in Cartagena to have it repaired as best as possible, but the damage was already done.

It’s been over a month, and I’m going to have to wait maybe three more for my hair to regrow. This was the most expensive salon I visited in Cartagena. I paid for what I thought would be a top-tier cut, and instead, I paid for one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever had. I don’t say this lightly. I’ve gotten my hair cut in salons across the US and Europe for years.

If you are coming here for a blowout or styling, I would highly recommend it. But if you’re considering a haircut, I would proceed with great caution. I don’t want anyone else to feel the kind of regret and sadness I’ve felt since...

Establish the price before you go there. Reconfirm the price when you arrive. Everytime they ask you to do anything, establish if there is a charge. Shampoo? Charge. Stand up? Charge. Sit down? Charge. Upselling an extra service is understandable. Performing extra service without informing the customer that there are additional charges, is not acceptable.
