The overall look and cleanliness of the salon is fantastic as well as the communication with the staff. The price is hard to beat so that certainly helps with the rating. I had a full body massages, an anti aging facial, a haircut and blowout. The massage is at the top of the list in terms of quality. The masseuses were incredible. The anti aging facial was a bit confusing and what was being done wasn't very clear. I also had to remind them twice to be gentle since I had a wedding that night, however, my face was red and had marks from the pressure applied to my face. After the massage I had my hair washed. Not sure if it's a language barrier but I am fluent in Spanish. I had no option but to pay for an extra hair wash service. I said I just wanted the basic service and that was interrupted as the basic "paid" service. It felt very pushy and for some reason he mentioned he would also wash my husband's hair after his haircut which made no sense since it was styled. I told my husband to reject it and told the guy to please not approach my husband since he didn't need a wash after his haircut and styling. My last service was the haircut and blowout. The haircut was slow since the hairdresser was on her phone a lot even though I told her I was in a time crunch. I wasn't given a cover so the wet hair was on my shirt. Her blowout was also the worst I've ever had and I was told there was little volume since my hair was long. I've had volume when done at other salons so not sure that made any sense. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Salon Day spa Diego Moya, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. As someone who is quite particular about their hair, I was pleasantly surprised and completely satisfied with the services provided. Angela did an amazing job and worked closely with me to pick the right color combination for my highlights. She was very professional and patient. And with the help of María Rosario who gave me a wonderful head massage when washing my hair. These ladies worked with me even after the salon was closed since it was my last day in Cartagena. I got put on a color that doesn't match my base, they tried to fix it after I complained but it's still there. I left my roots to grow for 7 months in order to get difuminated highlights and work with my base to blend the previous line that was there (before I did a full head color). They did the highlights just like straight lines from the TOP of the head and didn't leave my base. They added an extra color to match my base and create more contrast but that color is just red. I also asked to cut no more than 1cm on my edges and she cut easily 5 cm from the front when no one asked for that. Place is not very clean even though looks nice. Head massage was great!
