Kin BBQ (Korean BBQ) — Restaurant in Medellín

The food is always good here and as well as the service. The reason I’m giving this review is because my recent experience wasn’t so great as the previous ones before. I still give this place 5 stars, but there was confusion between myself and a waitress about spicy pork. Anyone who’s been to a Korean Bbq or restaurant knows what is spicy pork or bulgogi pork is. I ask for that and I thought her and I had an understanding being that my Spanish is not the best but we communicated and came to a pork dish with kimchi. I ended getting bacon with some type of sauce spread. I wasn’t happy and I was hungry, and I didn’t eat it. I also wasn’t so pleasant to deal with, but the orange haired waitress was very professional with me even though I was being a little bit of a jerk. This was a fun and interesting experience, although not an authentic one. The meat quality itself was poor. The staff is very friendly, except for the bartender who has a bad attitude.

The food quality itself is not great, although typical for the area. The beef is low quality, the rice is dry and flavorless (which is a shame because rice in Colombia is generally very good). The condiments are not authentic for Korean BBQ. The cuts of meat are different from how they’re presented in authentic Korean BBQ. There is no Banchan, which are free side dishes brought out with your meal. The sautéed veggies and kimchee are both very creamy, which is typical for Colombian adaptations of foreign food but may be off-putting for someone expecting...

Food was delicious. Services could not be worse. Waiters don't care about the customers. It took around 20 minutes to bring sliced meat and kimchi. Both of which should be ready in this type of restaurant. Sueing the meal we ordered additional kimchi (which is the always ready in Korean restaurant). Well, they brought us kimchi when we finished eating and we had to remind the second time for it. They completely forgot to bring the drink and tried to charge us for it. When we refused the waiter brought us the drink that we ordered in the very beginning. We refused the drink because we already finished eating. Food A+++...
