Where to start? My husband and I stayed in four different lodgings during our trip, and I had saved a different one for our trip to Cahuita/Puerto Viejo/Cocles. He kept repeating that this one got lots of good reviews, so I relented. I’m glad, because our stay was amazing! (And we ended up staying in two I found and two he found!)||We did not get to meet Matt and Juliet who were on their own well deserved getaway. Their friends Sarah and Caleb filled in and did a great job! Sarah is so outgoing, easy going, and friendly. She reminds me of someone and I’m still trying to think of whom. She was available via WhatsApp and boy did I take advantage of that! It was ridiculous how many questions I had but she was always very gracious in responding.||The daily breakfast was so beautiful and delicious! (See pictures) We had four options and I thought I’d change it up but had the eggs over easy with toast and fruit all three mornings. My husband had the French toast the first day, and pancakes the next two, both with fruit. Christina and Shirley who helped with breakfast and room service were very friendly.||We stayed in room #1, and it was all we needed. There is the bed, desk, counter and spacious area between. There is a safe accessible with a key attached to your room key. The private bath with shower has a small area to hang clothes and the refrigerator is in it. Always important in tropical heat and humidity: air conditioning! There is also a dehumidifier. Oh, and a TV with satellite access. (I wish I had taken pics of everything)||We didn’t have a rental car and navigated around just fine. It was easy to take the city bus (stop was just across the main road) and tuk tuk. There are taxi services but we didn’t end up taking them.||We highly recommend and would stay again if in the area and there is...
Read moreYOU MUST STAY HERE! Here is what I loved about it:
-Erica, the woman who runs the B&B for the owners, is a delight. She is warm, kind, thoughtful, fun, funny, and ready to help you with any and everything that you need. She became such a part of the experience for me. She even gave my wife and I coffee late at night just because she figured out that we liked before bed coffee. She warmed and folded our wet clothes, which we had hung out the day before. She is a real sweetheart. -Great location. It is minutes from the beach by foot. It is in Cocles, which I liked much better than Peurto Viejo. You are in a neighborhood, but surrounded by beautiful jungles. -Erica's cat, Steve! I fell in love. -The actual accommodations are great. Our room was a mix of homey and upscale. The outdoor hangout area is so amazing. It's an extra bonus space that we highly utilized. -Erica made sweet little breakfasts that were always fresh and beautiful to look at. -There is a mini mart up the road for essentials and an awesome little cafe, Rio Negro, right up the street, which is open late and perfect for outdoor dinners. -This place was great. My top favorites: Erica, Stevie, and the...

The room has a desk for work (if you need), air conditioning, ceiling fans (in the bathroom and bed room), private bathroom, a small refrigerator, lock box, and adequate shelf space. Basically we felt that we had everything we needed to feel right at home. The whole facility is thoroughly clean, it was like walking out into our own living room when we opened our door to the common sitting space (or lounge). The breakfast in the morning is served by the friendly people who manage the bed and breakfast, yet they make you feel that you are at an experienced restaurant. Options of toast and eggs, or pancakes or french toast, as well as fruits. It was was done very professionally but with a friendly smile. The bed and breakfast was very secure with a closed gate to enter the facility, we felt at peace and happy to have a comfy place to return to after a...
