The food was so good! My friends and I got the chicken burrito, sweet and spicy wings, buffalo wings and chicken nachos and it was all delicious.
The owner was a sweetheart, chatted with us for a bit and even gave us complimentary shots for my friends birthday.
Definitely check out this spot if your in Puerto Viejo! And when you decide to visit, make his life easier by paying cash instead of card🙏🏾
Only suggestion — add a fish/seafood or veggie option for people that don't eat meat.
Atmosphere was cool, literally overlooking the water which was sweet. There were a few people in the restaurant that were smoking cigs — that was bothersome for one of my friends but also out of the owners control. But something to keep in mind if dining in.
Update — the food was so banging that we went back! Another plate of the sweet and spicy wings and this time my friend got the chicken quesadilla. She LOVED it and I’m still obsessed with the wings.
Do yourself a favor and ask for both of his homemade sauces as toppings from your fries instead of ketchup — a GAME CHANGER!
Atmosphere the second time wasnt bad. Still cigarette smokers but we sat farther away, and there were some older men playing dominoes which was a cool site to see. Definitely gave back home in the Caribbean. Oh and it was karaoke night...
Read moreWe saw all the 5 star reviews and were really excited to try this new place. The burritos were delicious and a really great sized portion. Overall the owner was a really nice guy and super welcoming to us. Unfortunately I have to lower the rating as at the end when we paid he muttered something about "and 10%" and gave us back our change minus 10%. I questioned what this 10% referred to and he said "they" took 10% on all food. I again asked who "they" was and if he referred to a tax or something else as there was nothing mentioned about an additional fee or tax on the menu. He said "they" took 10% and pointed to the restaurant behind him. It was obvious that this 10% was a service fee he was paying himself but the shadiness of how he went about it was disappointing. I have no problem paying a tip but it should be either optional or explicit on the menu. I'd recommend going for the burritos but in the future I hope that the owner can own up to the fee he is taking so that it can just be a 5...
Read moreTried Nacho Momma’s recently and honestly had a mixed experience. The service was fantastic — the guy running it was super friendly, personable, and made us feel really welcome. You can tell he genuinely cares about the customer experience, which was refreshing.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t match the service. We ordered a chicken burrito, veggie quesadilla, and French fries. The fries portion was tiny — barely a dozen — and didn’t feel worth it. The burrito had a dry, almost sandy texture, and we couldn’t even be sure there was chicken in it. As for the veggie quesadilla, it was undercooked and soggy, making it really hard to enjoy.
Really wanted to like this place more because of the great vibes, but the food just didn’t deliver. Hoping it was an off day, because with that level of service, it...
