Nanku experiencia gastronómica — Restaurant in Cahuita

Their menu has sushi, since the delivery person wasn't available, we drove to get it. Turned out that sushi has to be requested 2 days ahead of time. I find it ridiculous as I order what I have cravings for at the moment. Also their menu should say "sushi - we'll have it ready for you the day after tomorrow". Also the staff said that they didn't know where to get sushi. Which I also find strange as the staff is local. They could have sold something else with the right answer but since they didn't want to tell me another recommendation, I give them only one star, however, if was possible, not even one star. First I posted what is over this and now I think is better if I answer here as there's no option to reply. I speak spanish fluent but since the review was asked in English as I live in Canada, that's the reason I wrote it in english. The menu doesn't say anything about ordering sushi in advance, I even read the small letters that says about customers having allergies. Is not that the place is not good for my expectations, is just that for tourists would be nice to really clarify that the sushi should be ordered in advance. We were a large group of 11 and after reading the “good” reviews spent a special night here. Nothing went well! Food was more that an hour late, incorrectly done or they change the sides without even asking or offering an explanation. Very disappointing. We left food uneaten because of how bad it was. Stake without sauce and no fries. Nachos were just salad with crema and bred. Hamburgers looked good but undercooked terribly and so on. The drinks were the only thing we enjoyed for the more than two hours we spent there. The music from next place was incredibly loud and not pleasant. Felt like we were eating in a nightclub and the mosquitoes were eating us. Maybe they are better for breakfast...

Well… I’m not coming back or recommending you to go there.

I went there twice, even though our first experience was awful. We were waiting for our table to be attended for 20 minutes, then we were waiting for our food to be ready for 1 HOUR! The place was half empty… I got sandwich with chicken, they brought stone-dry bread and some meat pieces between it. Absolutely horrible.

Second time I went there because they really have nice location and advertising themselves good, I knew what to expect. It happened again, the waiter didn’t knew English, everything was just so slow :(

Food is just “ok”, I have nothing else to say. I would not recommend, nothing special...
