Our evening started rough, with our favorite restaurants closed. So we took a chance with rickys. The reviews werent stellar, but the food looked good. Our cocktails came first. Long island ice tea. A very common drink. Although the cup i received was clearly made from some sort of drink mix, which tasted like a powdered milkshake. Buffalo wings tasted more like sweet mandarin chicken. And the chicken fingers my girlfriend ordered showed up once in the form of mozzerella sticks. Then not again until we paid our check, an hour later. But all that wouldve been fine, the prices were good. And its a great atmosphere. But anyone whos lived here knows there are many many stray dogs, some sweet, some not. And its understandable to not want them in the restaurant. But I watched the waitress spray some sort of blue chemical cleaner all over the dogs and nearly all over several peoples meals as she yelled and screamed at the dogs. A long wait time or a dissapointing meal is something i can get by. Spraying chemicals at the animals and people while we eat is another story. Will not...
Read moreWe came to this spot after getting recommended by our guide at the national park. We walked over and sat down and we were greeted warmly. The menu had many options but my husband got the Caribbean soup and I got a burger with a side of rice and beans instead of Fries. We also ordered some guacamole and plantains. The Guacamole was amazing but I love my guac very acidic. The burger was very good and came with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. The rice and beans had a light coconut flavor that was wonderful and not overpowering. My husband's soup was definitely the star. It had a coconut base broth made in house with fresh coconut. It came with fish, mussels, calamari, shrimp, and plenty of vegetables. It was so good my husband finished the entire thing! I also ordered a guanabana shake and omg was it good! Overall I would recommend this place after a hike in the...
Read moreTo start, we arrived and were not greeted. I mean many servers looked at us, waiting to be seated and said nothing. I had to walk to the bar and ask if we could be tended too. The bar tender told us that we could sit anywhere.
Usually this would make me leave but I was hungryyyy!
We sat down and no one came to us. We noticed that a white couple sat down across from us and were immediately tended to. I found that interesting.
I again had to get up and walk to the bar and ask for a server because after 20 minutes we were ready to order.
The waiter came and admittedly she was kind and answered the questions we had.
The food took a while to come but when it did it was good, I enjoyed it. The drink was watered down and I could of done without.
I wouldn’t recommend coming here unless you’re really in a pinch and everywhere...
