I was hoping for an amazing experience after seeing reviews. Unfortunately, mine was nothing of the sort. We started off with the watermelon mojito and the frozen sangria. Both were good, but nothing great. The issue I had were with the main meals and service. We got the fish tacos and their special- the chorizo pad Thai. The fish tacos were good, but I was very unimpressed with the pad Thai. I love Thai food, and I was truly unable to eat it. Luckily my boyfriend liked it enough so we switched dishes. My frustration was with the management. She came and asked how we liked our dishes, and we were very kind in explaining me not being a fan of the pad Thai dish. Rather than a “sorry you don’t like it” or “can I get you something else” or just any other kind gesture, there was nothing done of the sort. Just a “people love our dish and ask for it all the time”. Although I understand the comment, it just wasn’t good customer service and I was not impressed. Read moreThe Butter chicken should be called peanut butter chicken, and the chipotle chicken tasted like bad barbecue chicken with no spice whatsoever… I don’t like to leave terrible reviews for places but this was the worst food I have had in this entire town, the chicken tastes unseasoned before dumping a heaping scoop of bland sauce on top of it. It was simply terrible, for $15 (USD) a plate take your money elsewhere. I couldn’t recommend this place less… so disappointed. (Edited in a picture to show the laughable presentation of what looks like a middle schooler threw this together) & yes we took home the food so we did not waste it, and had to create a new dish that was much more enjoyable after repurposing it… we saw another comment say that when they told you the food was not good, all you said to them was “everyone loves our food here” which would have made the experience even worse… so im glad we gave the generic response of everything’s good. So I didn’t have to experience...

The brain child of this establishment is a cool Trinidadian whose called Costa Rica home for 30+ years after spending several years honing his skills in Canada.
The combinations of sauces on the fish and mussels were sweet, spicy, savory and simply complex. The loco coco drink had a ginger bite that was just right and the orange brownie was a sweet chocolate delight.
I sipped slow and savored each dish. The staff is friendly. Stash is a great guy to have a conscience conversation with about everything from life and food and all that matters in between.
The colorful background is surrounded by nature and you’ll probably hear the low hum of frogs as you dine.
After along day of surf and sea and sightseeing, make this a stop on your schedule. You’ll be satisfied belly and soul.
