We arrived at 7:30, we had to wait for a table about 20min, but there were 3 people behind us that were seated before us, no reserve, just because they were more, so as the waiter said, it was because they had to fill the place, so that was a bitter entrance. Although the bartender was very nice and served the drinks. He received the order and when the table was ready we were taken to it. The service was a little slow but the place was packed so it was fine. They have live music but not all the places can enjoy it because it was in another salon. We asked for a mixed charcuterie but they got the wrong order and sent only cheese, so we asked them to change it and it took longer to be served +10min. As soon as they brought the entries we started eating it was really good. And then they brought the main dishes. We ordered the Osobuco and the Tagliata, both were good and tasty, the Osobuco and the Lomito were cooked perfectly. My recommendation for the restaurant is that the pita served was too much so at the end I left a lot and the Osobuco was a little too spicy and the flavor or the meat was a little lost. My overall is that it is a good restaurant, the food is tasty but its forte is the cocktail and drinks over the food. The service maybe it was overwhelmed because the...
Read moreCame here on a whim for a drink and a snack and sat at the bar, ended up getting a full dinner, dessert, cocktails, and sampling the beer and kombucha. Manuel was incredibly friendly and attentive and everything I tried was exquisite; there is a focus on local flavors and styles which elevates the food and drinks.
The highball de Juanilama is made using a homemade liqueur from a local plant and is one of the most unique and delicious cocktails I’ve ever had. The trout (trucha) was fresh and beautifully prepared with shaved fennel and mandarin orange. The pecan pie and ice cream were also excellent. Many of the ingredients are grown in hydroponic containers across the street - can’t get much more local than that!
If you are a beer drinker from a foreign country, I highly recommend trying the beer here - they are tuned to a local palette and were very unique, light and crisp and fruity versions of each style, but no less delicious from the transformation.
Overall, a wonderful and memorable ...
Read moreWow. What do I even say. Great beer, kombucha, and salads!!! The cheese burger is to die for and the place actually brews their own stuff and makes their own herbal liquores. You have to actually read the menu through the app and taking a picture. The meat is grass fed, local, and organic, and the produce in their salads is from their organic garden that the owners do. You can read more about it on their website. They are very transparent with their food supply chain and you can ask the waiters for the owners info if you want to learn more. The beautiful people who work here and work so hard to provide us with such amazing service and love deserve so much more than we offer them. Beautiful & thank you. A bit expensive though. I pay about 30$ for a meal and a drink and a tip! Wish I was rich enough to afford...
