Fine dining Cantina.
Usually when you think of a Cantina in Costa Rica we are thrown back in time to a time where those lousy environments welcomed us to enjoy a beer along with a "Tapa" to go with it.
This concept gets renewed now in spaces like Cothnejo-Fishy, where we are welcomed to enjoy a beer, a cocktail or a simple soda along with some nice food pairings.
Now getting into it, the food is great. There are some things tho that you expect a certain way because recipes have lived forever in our households, but here they get the chef version of them. Most of the time for the good but sometimes they end up hitting a wall when compared to our expectations.
Service is always great and fast, 5 stars in this regard.
I highly recommend the "Sustancia de Res" and the Octopus dish, and can't stop eating the cassava and the "pejibaye" chips.
Would not recommend the " Patacones" since for me they were off, same with the Avocados.
Would order some cocktails to try new flavours if you like that, but they are not amazing...

Read moreLa comida estaba rica, el concepto interesante, tenía muchas ganas de ir desde hace tiempo, llegué faltando 10 minutos para que abrieran, el portón estaba cerrado pero la puerta abierta, entonces me vieron y llegaron, saludé y les pedí si por favor me podían dejar entrar aunque sea dentro del portón porque estaba haciendo un frío TERRIBLE y es en una zona peligrosa de San José y estaba yo sola. El muchacho me dijo que no y se fue, de ahí los meseros siguieron pasando y viéndome temblar pero literal tiritando, ya no me podía ni mover del frío y yo ahí solaa en media acera y los meseros me veían y no me dejaron entrar. Todavía no me lo creo, yo solo les pedí que me abrieran el portón, no que me dejaran sentarme ni que me empezaran a atender ni que me trajeran comida no, yo solo quería que me dejaran pasar a la entradita para no morirme de frío y que no me asaltaran pero NO.
