Thai gastro 750 — Restaurant in Catedral

We stopped in after an afternoon of exploring San Jose and working up and appetite. We enjoy trying different cuisine in different countries (Thai food in Costa Rica) when we travel, as well as finding small, local out-of-the way places. This place located just a block of the main street through China Town was perfect. Quaint and unassuming, the interior is cozy with just 8 seats giving us a front row seat. We we greeted with enthusiasm and a smile from the Chef as well as a couple of bites to enjoy while we waited for our fresh roll appetizer to be prepared. We ordered the Plato del dia con Lomo with the house Tamarindo sauce and Pad Thai con Pollo as our mains. Everything was made fresh to order, presented beautifully and delicious.
