Animal — Restaurant in Jacó

When I went to eat at Animal with my partner, I definitely didn't expect to have the best steak in my entire life!!! It was cooked perfectly, incredibly juicy, and the seasoning was amazing! The sides were also wonderful, and to top it all off, the whole restaurant is gluten- free and I hadn't even known it when walking in. Needless to say, I got a dessert (passion fruit and gooseberry cheesecake), and the balance of sweetness, tartness, and the crunch of passion fruit seeds and the crunchy bottom layer, was a transcendent experience. Not kidding, I was worried that my moans of pleasure were going to be distracting to the other diners! Had lunch here today after trying a nearby zipline. Son tried the Mahi Mahi with creamy broccoli and sauteed onions and carrots. He loved his fish, and the onions were delicious, like nothing I'd ever tasted before. My wife had a capuchino, which she loved, and their avocado toast with a poached and a Bacon Chipa (both were delicious). I had bacon/ham toast with a poached egg, and it, also, was delicious and also had a mixed fruit drink with was wonderful. The service and the ambiance were also excellent (it has been open for only 6 months so everything is new, the vibe is awesome - they even built the whole place around a big beautiful tree)! We finally were able to come here for our anniversary dinner and it was really wonderful! The ambiance is spot on and they have a lovely garden and dining/bar areas. We both had excellent drinks I really liked the green gin and tonic clean fresh and sweet. We tried the tuna tower for app, the pork w/ sweet potato and kimchi and the mushroom veggie burger. All were super tasty and had a great combo of flavors the burger bun was so so so nice also just melt in your mouth soft! I hope to be back again soon to try some of the new...
