Hermosa Beach House — Hotel in Jacó

Hermosa Beach House (HBH) is right at the beach. From room No.1 it's less than 30 steps until you are on the sand. The beach is long, perfect for walking and running. From the garden of the property you can see some really good surfing going on. There are weekly surfing contests hosted at the nearby restaurant Bowie's Point. You can see them right from the property.||||The room was clean and equipped with everything one needs: double bed, bathroom, sideboard to store things, a microwave, a fridge, an AC, a fan, a TV and a mirror. There is a well equipped clean shared kitchen. Also an outdoor BBQ area with a large table. There is a pool, two hammocks and two huts. One is right at the beach. I spent a lot of time there. There is a really good wifi connection, you look at the ocean, while sitting comfortably. Best combination of work and leisure. There is also a covered yoga terrace with space for probably 10 or more ppl practicing at the same time.||||There are restaurants nearby and there is the usual gathering around sunset. Playa Hermosa is more quiet than nearby Playa Jacó.||||There is a supermarket just steps away from HBH, however it is not equipped very well when it comes to fresh vegetables, fruits and other greens. You'd have to go to Jacó to purchase that. For this reason it would be useful to have a car. An uber drive to Jacó costs...

During my 6 day stay, this became a home I know I can always return to. Julie, the property host is and angel and is so knowledgeable and helpful with all aspects of staying here.

Staying here was fulfilling beyond my expectations. The property is a SANCTUARY with a beautiful pool, shala for yoga, hammocks and various comfy lounging chairs. The surrounding nature is so abundant, on the property you’ll find macaw birds eating almonds from the trees, toucans, and hummingbirds flying about. The beach is absolutely breathtaking, sunrise to sunset rain or shine I enjoyed every moment here. I felt so safe and taken care of while staying here. The rooms are beautiful and clean, the air conditioning worked so well and showers were hot! Everything single employee on the property was so lovely.

I was here attending a yoga retreat so meals were prepared by Julie and her staff. Each meal was delicious and so nutritious and you could feel allll the love it was made and served with. Julie connected us with many local experiences throughout our stay from surf lessons, horse back riding, jungle + waterfall hikes and a profound tezmescal ceremony. I throughly enjoyed getting to know Julie and her beautiful property, I dream of coming back in the future. I couldn’t recommend this...

We (a couple) just spent four nights at the Hermosa Beach House and loved it. The property is perfectly located right on this beautiful wild beach and away from the road. The only sounds all day and night were the waves and some birds.||||We enjoyed the Junior Suite upstairs which was very spacious for the two of us. The modern aircon and two ceiling fans provided perfect climate control. The little kitchenette came in handy. Best of all, we had a balcony with a sitting area on each end of the suite, one of which we used in the morning, the other later in the day.||||The grounds are beautifully kept with many diverse sitting/lounging/picknicking areas. The pool is delightful and very clean.||||There are several good restaurants a short walk away, a little supermarket right around the corner, and surfboard rentals for those who need it. Other than that, just beach...||||On the minus side: Some of the lounge chairs near the pool are broken. The internet works fairly well outdoors, especially near the pool, but a lot less so, or not at all, in the rooms. While this was not a big problem for us, this could be easily fixed with additional WiFi boosters. (I would have given the place 5 stars if this were better.)||||We warmly...
