Vida Hermosa Bar and Restaurant — Restaurant in Jacó

Great place with very friendly staff. We went for dinner with my family of twelve (ages 11-73) and everyone enjoyed their drinks and meals. While waiting for our food I walked around the restaurant to check out the atmosphere. I asked a staff member about when they have live music (he said Saturday’s and Sunday’s) and our conversation turned into 15 minutes. I come to discover the gentleman I was taking with is the owner. Juan is a great guy. You could tell he loved his restaurant and appreciated his employees. I went back to my table, and dinner was served. I took a few pictures but was so excited to dig in when mine came, I forget to photo it. It was excellent! The alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks were delicious. I’ve never had a waiter who was so attentive. He constantly was checking if we need anything and wiped the table numerous times from the drinks that were sweating. The place is right in the beach. No stars is more accurate. Juan, the owner is total garbage. My friend got his wallet stolen in Jaco and within a hour had 4 charges on two credit cards totaling about $1100. The next day Alex the bartender returned my friend's driver's license and we were told to return in half a hour (4:30) when Jaun was due to arrive. When we returned Juan hid in his office and had staff inform us that he went surfing. There was no surf 4:40pm Monday February 7th 2022. He refused to meet with us. He must have known Tally the thief that took the wallet. Since Juan refused to talk with us much less provide copies of the four transactions and video surveillance like Rosie at hotel restaurant Oz in Jaco we had no evidence that the 4 transactions took place within minutes and well before the time required to spend $1,100 dollars at Juan's restaurant. Let me start out by saying that if I could give 6 🌟’s I would! OM-goodness this place is delicious... everything about it is delicious! Not just the food but the atmosphere too. I can’t believe it has taken me so long to get out there and eat because it’s now on my top restaurant list of the zone. Everything we tried was perfect portion and excellent taste. This is a culinary success! You must try the hermosa salad... the blend of the flavors were not only surprising but scrumptious. I already can’t wait to go back. The breeze that blows through this adorable decorated place is another success it can boast! It was pet friendly and the staff performed perfect service.
