Cowboy BBQ CR — Restaurant in Jacó

I'm from Kansas City, a noted cow town and BBQ mecca, so believe me when I say - the BBQ here is legit. Best in Costa Rica by a country mile, and if it was in Kansas City, I would still bring my friends here. They wouldn't believe the quality and quantity of food for the price.

The smoked chicken was my 3 year old's favorite, but for me, the beef brisket and pork rib were both top notch. The baked potato with sour cream and cheese was excellent, and the broccoli was fresh and delicious. And their BBQ sauce was delicious - just spicy enough, but not too spicy.

Lunch today was smoked brisket sandwich with country style smoked beans and unsweetened fresh brewed ice tea for me. A big baked potato piled with smoked brisket and side of their unique but very tasty Cole slaw for hubby. Extra Texas BBQ sauce on the side. Definitely filing portions! Emily's attentive great service too. This was my very discriminating hubby's first meal at Cowboy's and he was floored with all the LOVE he puts into each bite so much he had to express his pleasure directly to the owner and chef James! I never thought I'd find the best Texan BBQ in Costa Rica..but this is the real deal. 15 Min from Jaco beach, 5 min up the road from Terraza Del Pacifico in Playa Hermosa(Jaco), next to a lovely family run souvenir shop, this is the real deal, The beef brisket slow smoked and the pulled port were divine. With a BBQ sauce I could drink. Damn. We made a second visit before we had to head home to Canada. This will be your best beef brisket.
