Baldi's Fresh Restaurant — Restaurant in Quepos

We loved Baldi's Fresh while staying in Manuel Antonio! Baldi, the owner, is funny and will make your stay very enjoyable! If you ask him nicely, he will tell you where to park your car in a safe place! If you tell the bartender what fruit you're in the mood for, he make you a great drink or ask for their suggestion. Ask for the Wi-Fi password for super fast internet speeds! Fish tacos are great, best I've every had! The ceviche and guac, with homemade chips, were really good! Some of the special mixed drinks on the menu were buy one, get one free during happy hour! Right across the street from the beach, you can sit, eat a great dinner meal, and watch the sunset! We came back 3 nights in a row to Baldi's! Such great hospitality! We truly felt like friends, and not just tourists, at Baldi's!...

Food and drinks were both good. Oscar was our server here and he was funny and nice. My only problem with the place is that we felt ripped off after leaving this place. I was very drunk the night I ate here and the day after I was shocked to see I was charged 60 bucks for 3 drinks, a salad and a fish plate. Btw it was happy hour. My wife later told me that the item Oscar recommended me was priced as market value. So I was probably charged around 35 bucks for a small fish and a side of veggies. I liked Oscar and I would've gone here for 3 nights in a row if they didn't rip me off like that. But they did so instead I chose a different place for the three nights we stayed in MA. Right on the beach and great service. Prices are quite high, but I guess this is to be expected at a beachfront restaurant... They have a large menu with lots of variety. The food was not as flavorful as I thought it would be, for the price, and I was disappointed with the drinks--not so tasty in comparison to others I've had in the area, but I might have just ordered the wrong thing... I had a daiquiri and because of the abundance of tropical fruit around here they're typically delicious everywhere you go. This one was pretty bland, and so was our green blended juice we ordered. Surprising since they had so many creative juice options on the menu. Either way it's a wonderful atmosphere and cute little place located conveniently across the street...
