If you're looking for a no-frills, reasonably-priced restaurant that serves delicious food and amazing smoothies, then Soda Angel is definitely worth a visit. Located just down the street from where the reviewer stayed in Manuel Antonio, this little Soda is a welcome breath of fresh air among the tourist trap, pricey venues in the area.
The staff at Soda Angel are super friendly and provide fresh and delicious food every time. The reviewer frequented this place throughout their week in Manuel Antonio and highly recommends it. They particularly enjoyed the chicken nachos which came in a large portion size and were filled with black beans, cheese, chicken, lettuce, tomatoes and chips. The banana smoothie made with milk was also a tasty treat.
Overall, if you're in the area and looking for a great meal or snack, Soda Angel is definitely worth checking out. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is no-frills but inviting. Don't miss out on the chance to try their chicken nachos and...
Read moreFood was good, big portions but somehow didn't fill me up as much as casado normally does 🤔 the street noise is super loud, so don't go here if you want to have a conversation. But they have wifi so you can use your phone if yelling louder at the person next to you every time a car drives by (which is every other second) isn't your thing. The service was good and the smoothie was refreshing.

It seems $9-10 for a local meal with a drink (or $7-8 without a drink) is the norm at sodas. Maybe they're cheaper in non-touristy towns, but the towns I've been so far are pricey! Don't expect a too-big-to-finish al muerzo for $3-5 in Costa...

We waited 45 minutes for a cheeseburger and some vegetarian nachos, which we expected given the staffing.
Cheese burger was super dry, mostly because it didn't come with any sauces on it. Chips un-salted as well.
Nachos just need to assembled a little better. They came with a layer of lettuce, a layer of cheese, then beans and salsa and sliced avo sectioned around the bowl, and the corn chips sprinkled on top.
Not the greatest soda we...
