Falafel Cafe — Restaurant in Sámara

I'm not so sure what's wrong with the people who work here but both times I tried to eat here, they were extremely rude. Especially the one lady who I assume is the owner. Based on the good reviews, i really wanted to eat here while I was in Samara. Unfortunately, they only have two tables, which were occupied the both times I tried to dine. They had an empty bench around the side of the building. So I asked if I could sit there and the lady said, "No!" and pointed to the two occupied tables. So I left and went up the road to eat. Today, I walked in the rain attempting again to eat here. I noticed that there was a 3rd smaller table that wasn't there the 1st time, but nonetheless, all 3 tables were full again. So this time I asked if I could order to-go and the staff just sat there and stared at me until one of the patrons informed me that I could order to-go. So I came around to the counter to order and told them I wanted to order to-go and they all just sat there again and stared at me like I was stupid. Then one guy asked me in Spanish if I spoke Spanish, which obviously I didn't.. 🙄 And by the way, I found it convenient all of a sudden no one spoke ANY English. You mean to tell me everyone who eats here only speaks Spanish? Not a chance! The part that bothered me is that they didn't even try to communicate with me at all. So I took it as they didn't want my business and went elsewhere. I guess they only serve certain people and they made it clear I wasn't welcomed here. Based on my two experiences, I won't spend a dime here and can't recommend this place either since I was basically refused service...

Update: The owners response below is a prime example of what I mean when I say lack of customer service skills and further confirms that they did not want my business. So you can respond to my written review but cannot respond to me in person? None of this was explained to me in person, the only person who even tried to help me was a customer. You all just stood there and looked at me, even after i had the menu in my hand. And never have I ever screamed in the street anywhere. Both times, I came to the front and you refused me service. By the way, that same bench that you said is for the next doors apartment complex I've personally seen both you and your son sitting on that bench multiple times, which is right next to your business by the way.... I would encourage you to visit some of the other establishments in the neighborhood to learn what good service looks like because you all are very very rude and unwelcoming. The food is so good here and all the staff are so nice. They prepare really high quality food. I am biased because I love Middle Eastern food and I think they do a wonderful job using local ingredients. I arrived 15min before close (I'm so sorry) and they still fulfilled the whole order for my family of 4. We took the food to go to eat back at our place. Best lunch spot in Playa Samara. Fresh ingredients, friendly staff, sizable portions, and ooh girl, that homemade hot sauce!!! You know you’ve found a gem when your 7 year old happily eats his entire lunch and it’s something he’s never eaten before — chicken burger with tzatziki.
