I was pleasantly surprised by this place in Escazu. I only had the ramen - so I can't speak to the quality of the other things on the menu. Generally speaking it's hard to find good ramen in Costa Rica; this is the best I've found, and it stacks up with ramen I've had in other countries (obviously it doesn't compare with Japan but then nothing does). The service is polite and efficient if slow - although the slow speed is a function of how busy the place is, rather than an indication of poor service. Read moreCute little restaurant hidden in the back of Plaza itzkatzu. We ordered the miso ramen, ramen tonkatsu and a new item of kimchi flavored ramen with shrimp.
The ramen was decent, it could be cooked a little tiny bit longer for softer texture. Otherwise the soups were flavorful and delicious. The cha siu was soft and tender and flavorful as well.
We also ordered edamame and gyozas which were authenticly flavored. 👌🏽
Overall, this was a cute delicious little ramen shop worh plenty of options on the menu. I'd definitly go back but if ramen was my choice of entree I may go to kololo first. But I like both places which are almost located next to each other separated...

Great attention (the waitress was very kind and actually warned me that ordering both a special roll and ramen would be too much food. ). So I went for gyozas and one special roll instead. I can only say that I was actually amazed by the great taste and freshness of the food. It definitely feels that the food is prepared with high quality. Besides, the sushi portions were huge!! Overall, a great experience, and I have to come back to...
