Once I checked the thematic and narrowed my choice to location, I then read the reviews and found them quite appealing. Let's take a chance, knowing I would foot the bill for my guest and family... Just like I read, everything was true, from the very attentive and gentle waiter we had (Roman) to their "team work": one is made comfortable and respected but with some warmth. I could see the clientele is a fine one, yet mostly of families as it was a Sunday and a few couples. The Menu is well composed and so is the drinks and wine list. Expect to pay the price here however it goes with the quality of the dishes offered. Marry this well appointed place with its comtemporary decor and you have a trendy yet not noisy environment where truly, I believe guests enjoy the cuisine and again, the remarkable service from the moment you set foot in! I would recommend you to reserve in advance!...
Read moreVery good food, service and ambience. The menu is mainly Italian with some Peruvian and Costa Rican items here and there.
We ordered Yuka Fries for appetizer, which came with a cheesy dip. My children shared the Grilled Octopus Bites and it had a good amount of octopi pieces along with mushrooms, potatoes etc. my husband and I shared an order of Manchego Sea Bass which came with shrimps and a creamy cheese. Lastly we ordered Tiramisu and Flan 🍮 for dessert. The fries are a bit bland and could do well with some salt and savoriness. The sea bass preparation is an interesting idea of combining bass, shrimps, avocado and cheese but was a tad too cheesy and would be better with less cheese and addition of other flavors instead. All the other orders were awesome !
The service was excellent and the restaurant is conveniently collated in a plaza with lots of...
Read moreI'm always weary when they ask about temperature for tuna, because you run the risk of getting a dry piece of meat, no matter what you asked for. I was pleasantly surprised when I got a perfect tuna steak. We also had their ceviche sampler (octopus was ok, tuna was very good, corvina was unremarkable) and some desserts. All around very well prepared and well presented.
Beware: this place is on the "very expensive" side of the spectrum. There are other, better restaurants, delivering a better overall experience for way less than Pescatore. I'm not sure where they are sourcing their seafood from (tuna, shrimp, seabass, octopus and other similar things could all be sourced locally with very high quality), but it's clear that they are importing a significant fraction of their ingredients, and that might partially explain...
