Amoret — Restaurant in Dubrovnik

I was here last night with friends. We were looking for a medium restaurant, we are aware that this is not gastronomy BUT :

The price is high like in all Croatia, but the quality was really not here.

I’ve ordered Bruschettas for the starters (toasted sliced bread with tasteless tomatoes) and a dry tomatoes paté (it was good but just out of the can…)

For the dishes, I have ordered Truffle Pasta (my grandpa is cultivting truffles in France so I know the product), and trust me there wasn't even a milligram of truffle, it was like pasta with cream and ham.

My friends have ordered other dishes that were just as bad and taken from a hospital cafeteria.

I really dont recommend this restaurant, I’m not talking about prices because I know it is like that in Croatia, but the quality is not here. I didn’t get the good comments about this one, guys elevate your standards !

Except that, the waiters were polite, and I don’t have anything to say about this. But you can’t serve trash food like that ( for a 50€/person bill at the end)

It was a first time when I experienced such a bad customer service. As my partner is Croatian we have been treated much worst from other tables where tourists been "enjoying" food. My order have been mixed up twice. I ordered simple grilled shrimps with fries and at the first place I got shrimps in sauce with rice when I corrected waiter as a final dish I got spinach and boiled potatoes. I could not believe it but I did not want to wait again so I eat it. I gave 2 starts at the end because my boyfriend liked his food and my shrimps where not bad either but disappointment was huge. We expected much more from the restaurant in the middle of beautiful Dubrovnik city center. We received glass of each wine same as we were drinking as an act of apology but in the meantime waiter asked my partner, in their language, if the table next to us heard what happen (of course their where tourists from different country). Disgraceful! The staff should learn how to treat all people in the same way not choosing customers by...

Humiliating experience at this establishment. My partner and I were looking for dinner and drinks. We stopped here and a nice lady with blonde hair greeted us. We looked at the menu and she showed us to our seat. She recommended we sit facing the “view” of the church. We thanked her and sat down. Just then, we noticed her co worker shouting from the square below. He wanted us to move seats as he found a party of 3 instead. He abruptly ran up the stairs, told us to move, took us to a side seat where we no longer had the same view and arrogantly told us to sit. He ran back over to the more important customers and sat them whilst we made the correct decision to walk away. We ordered a 3 course meal and drinks elsewhere. My family work in hospitality where I am from and I would be upset and outraged if they treated any customer in such a manner. We have no idea what the food/drinks tasted like and we...
