Restaurant Pizzeria Primi Piatti — Restaurant in Grad Hvar

I would give this place 0 if I could . After a long day of travelling our Airbnb host recommended this restaurant for a pizza takeaway. We were tired and did not fancy sitting in the restaurant. Just wanted to eat something and go to sleep . Young hostess was very polite and told us to look at the menu and make an order . As soon as I opened the menu a tall waiter appeared and asked us what we wanted . My daughter ordered a margarita and I said I needed couple of minutes as was not sure which pizza I wanted . Waiter then proceeded to tell me he didn’t have time to stand there and wait for me to make a decision!! We were there 1 min tops ! I told him he didn’t have to wait and to come back in couple of minutes . In the end I told him just to order Margarita. My daughter was starving otherwise I wouldn’t have ordered anything Pizza we got was not nice and base was burned . So basically if you are not willing to sit in this restaurant and spend €€ you are not welcome . Such a shame as reviews are fantastic and I love seafood , we would have probably gone and eaten there every other night for 2 weeks , as it’s on our doorstep . Would not recommend...

We recently dined at Primi Piatti, and it truly lives up to its reputation as the best pizza restaurant around! The moment we walked in, we were welcomed by a warm and friendly staff who made us feel right at home. The ambiance was perfect, with a cozy and charming atmosphere. The highlight, of course, was the pizza… perfect blend of crispy, thin crust and rich, flavorful toppings. The fresh ingredients and authentic preparation methods were evident in every slice. Additionally, the restaurant offers a great selection of local wines, which paired wonderfully with the meal. The service was impeccable, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who provided excellent recommendations and ensured that everything was to our liking. Overall, Primi Piatti exceeded our expectations in every way. If you find yourself in Hvar town and are craving some incredible pizza and local food, this is the place to go. Great place for a perfect dinner! The view is amazing, watching all the ships and yachts and the sunset. The service is very friendly, competent and provides valueable insights on food and local products. The best of all is of course the food...we had delicious fish appetizers for two with two different tartars, smoked swordfish and shark with freshly baked focaccia (they also serve great- looking pizze from the wood-fired oven which we will try next time). As main courses, we had two local dishes: a perfectly grilled octopus with fresh vegetables and 'Gregada', an excellent kind of fish stew with three kinds of local fish, potatoes and mussels. Another tip: try the local wines and digestifs. Altough we imagine that for people staying at Hvar center the way to "Primi Piatti" seems to be quite an effort, we can say - it is definitely worth it (and you can even ask for free transfer).
