Fish Delish Makarska — Restaurant in Grad Makarska

I was both happy with the food and disappointed with the service.

I have specifically ordered Caesar shrimp salad, and Calamari. Got ticket and paid. When I sat down, I noticed my ticket said "Tuna" salad instead of "shrimp" one, so I went back to the cashier right away to sort it out.

I was made sure that I will get shrimp and not tuna as it was just described as one item (sounded a bit questionable?), so I went back to my table where I realized its different price, so I went back again to the cashier to sort out the money. The cashier called the manager - I suppose it was the manager - with who I had a conversation that I really want shrimp salad, that I really ordered initially.

Instead of "sure let's change it" I was given some "hmmm it is a huge problem for us" looks and I felt like an idiot for trying to sort out the situation that was NOT caused by me. I was told "but we already made the tuna salad....?" as if it was my mistake and as if they were expecting me to just say "ok it's fine I will eat that instead of what I ordered.."

So I offered the staff "you can change" just the fish for shrimps if all the other ingredients are the same" - they unfortunately we're not the same, which I was reminded of by the very much annoyed face of the manager.

Since I was made felt like it's my mistake, I offered them "okkkk you can keep it in the system as it is, just add more shrimps maybe?.." as it was not about the money for me (the price difference between salads was like 3-4 euros) but still I received quite unpleasant looks from the manager. The salad had very regular ammount of shrimps for the money I a actually paid for it, so I feel like really nothing was done to reimburse the situation for me..

Felt like an a**hole afterwards even when it was not my mistake - just for trying to sort the situation out. I believe it could have been handled much more differently especially when I was not the one who caused it and I really tried to make the change the most easy for them and even lost around 3€ for it - but it is not about the money - it was about the principle.

I don't blame the cashier, as mistakes just happen and its normal, it was a really nice person otherwise.

To end on a good note:

The food was still awesome, tasted really well and the portions were nice and big overall. Also the place looks amazing and has a nice surroundings. Prices...

The food was delicious and the service was nice. Unfortunately the place is small so we could sit inside. We ordered a big french fries (I think it's two-person) and we got a little souce. It was 4€. We ordered a shrimp and octopus burger as well. The shrimp burger was delicious and it contains cheddar cheese, onion rings, souce and rucola. In my opinion the shrimp burger was more delicious. The octopus burger contains purple cabbage and rucola and some souce as well. I think we will come back to try the other...

This was an accidental find but oh boy am I glad for it. We were craving something quick and fast foody without having to get a regular burger or pizza. This hit the spot. I got myself one of their shrimp burgers, which was delicious and we also got their small fried fish (maybe cackerel?). Everything was fried to perfection and the price was fair. My only issue was with the toilets but honestly I'm willing to look past that because if I return there next year, I know where to get...
