Ješka Fine Bistro | Restaurant Makarska — Restaurant in Grad Makarska

We had a beautiful experience at this lovely restaurant. My partner and I visited on the last day of our stay in Makarska and it's left us with the most perfect last breath of our trip. The food was noticably cheaper than a lot of other restaurants we've visited and yet the food did not disappoint.

Our waitresses were very pleasant and did a great job of turning this from a regular meal into an experience, with short and sweet explanations and each meal, and helpful menu recommendations.

The food itself was a novel experience compared to most restaurants here and you can tell that there was a lot of thought put into the meals. The smaller portions allowed us to explore a nice variety within their menu and experience their full range of tastes and palettes.

The atmosphere was particularly pleasant, no overly loud music, too many people talking at high volumes, and just the perfect distance from the bustling main square. However despite everything the feel of the restaurant wasn't elitist or exclusionary, and felt very welcoming without necessitating fancy attire or expensive accessories.

In short, this is the BEST restaurant in Makarska, we’ve eaten at almost all of them and I can say that this is the absolute best with high confidence. You absolutely must visit!

In more detail… We were absolutely blown away by Ješka! We’ve visited Makarska many times over the years and have always hoped a restaurant would appear that doesn’t do the same menu as every other place and that’s certainly the case with Ješka. Their classic dalmatian cuisine with a modern twist is honestly to die for. The food was exquisite, the service was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable and the wine selection was inspired. We had such an incredible evening that we had to wrap it up with a cocktail and OH MY, that was the cherry on top of the most amazing cake.

I feel this is a Michelin guide restaurant in waiting and we had the privilege to visit when it is still somewhat undiscovered. We will be back for sure, we absolutely love what the people at Ješka are doing for Makarska, keep it up! ❤️
