I recently had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant Basta in Makarska with my girlfriend, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly welcomed by the lovely hostess Petra, who made us feel right at home.

The service we received was nothing short of outstanding. Our waiter, Ivan, was incredibly kind and attentive throughout the entire evening. He went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was perfect, recommending delicious dishes and catering to our preferences with a smile.

The food was exceptional! Each dish was prepared with the finest ingredients and presented beautifully. We enjoyed every bite, and the flavors were a true testament to the chef's culinary expertise.

What truly stood out was the genuine hospitality that permeated every aspect of our visit. The staff at Restaurant Basta made us feel like valued guests, and their attentiveness added an extra touch of warmth to our evening.

Disappointing when the food came out there was a maggot on my salad. We showed the waitress and she made a comment in disgust too. She returned the meal and gave me a menu for new meal however didn’t offer new meal for friends who ordered the same. The menu took ages to come out so my friends had almost finished their meals before I could order again. The waitress also said “we couldn’t see the maggot so maybe it wasn’t there but we will get you a new meal anyway” despite her seeing it and also making a comment on how disgusting it was. We asked to speak to the manager as we believed a discount should be applied as we could barely finish the meals as we were disgusted by seeing a maggot. The manager walked out of the conversation and had three staff gang up on my friend. In the end only given 11 euros off the bill. Overall not impressed with how it was dealt and should be better. The waiter at the end said “sorry sometimes this happens where we get bugs in our food”. - this is not normal at all in a good practice...

I did not like this place and not going to visit it again. The food is good, I agree. But the service… I came there with my daughter, we were thirsty and wanted to drink before meal. The woman with blond hair roughly asked me to sit. I took a sit and when she came with menu I asked her to brink drinks, because we were very thirsty. She rejected and roughly asked me to read the menu. Later she was pushing some empty box with her leg through the restaurant and she did not apologise. The other waiter came and solved the issue, but the overall experience is just bad. Even if the food is good, it is not that special that cannot be bought in another...
