Read moreThis review is for the management of the restaurant. I gave it five stars because I do not want to ruin anyone's business even though the service deserves one star.
I tried to get a table on the terrace next to the beach, for five people today at 18:15PM. The terrace was quite empty with only a few guests. The waiter said that it is not possible to sit five people next to the beach, maximum four. I explained that we don't mind to sit all five, we can put an extra chair. Another waiter was in the vicinity and told him in Croatian that he can put an extra chair. The waiter replied to his colleague in a manner that we could clearly understand that he did not want to sit us. We had no option but to leave for another restaurant that offers better service. Maybe we could have sat on the terrace next to the restaurant but the waiter's attitude was not nice at all.
The overall feeling of the interaction was off-putting, we did not feel welcome. Nobody wants to pay for food in a place that they don't feel welcome.
Today you had five guests that left, tomorrow there can be another, if you don't value the tourists and train your staff to do better it may impact you in the long run.
In customer service, there is a way to convey even negative messages, nobody should feel unwelcome and most certainly nobody wants to see grumpy faces on...
Read moreThere is so much wrong with this place it is hard to know where to start. Thing is they are a myriad small things, which have a massive impact and go into making an Italian restaurant experience a genuine one. Firstly , you shouldn't have to ask for olive oil and balsamic, nor salt. These things should be there as son as you sit down. After that , bread (fresh bread, of good quality , not the stuff left over from the morning )should arrive , or breadsticks, plus olives. I had to ask for all these things. The outside bar area is extremely poorly lit , making it impossible to read the menus at night. Also , would it hurt to have a few citronella candles around at ground level to stop the mosquitoes? Next , the music. Set the atmosphere with some stylish Italian music. Have some more waiters. Have someone who knnows a bit about wine. Put more fish dishes on the Menu. The tuna tartare was excellent. But you cant call yourself an Italian trattoria with such a limited range of real Italian dishes. Why serve french fries with deep fried calamari????! Trying to sell yourselves on the back of the Valamar Meteor hotel and having a seaside location is limited. People visit good Italians over and over again. We coudln t wait to get out of here tbh! Disappointed and let down. BUt look it is not beyond repair, if the...
