Memorable Dinner by the Sea!

We had a truly fantastic dinner at Restaurant Berlin in Makarska. The setting was absolutely magical — right by the beach at sunset, with a soft sea breeze and golden light casting the perfect atmosphere. I was there with my three kids, and the entire evening felt relaxed, warm, and welcoming.

The food was a real highlight. We ordered brisket, fall-off-the-bone pork ribs with a delicious peanut butter sauce, gnocchi with chicken and truffles, and a beautifully cooked fish served with guacamole. Every dish was full of flavour and thoughtfully prepared — the ribs and gnocchi especially stood out. The portion sizes were generous, and even the kids were impressed (which says a lot!).

Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The staff made us feel completely at ease, and the timing between courses was just right.

Highly recommended if you’re in Makarska and want a memorable meal by the sea. We’ll definitely be...

After trying 3 other restaurants where everything was just fried in oil and the meat was undercooked which was very dissapointing, we were so glad to find and sit in at Berlin's restaurant. The staff were very friendly, the food was outstanding, definately 5 stars. Also, don't hesitate to say if you have any intolerances or allergies, they really are helpful and looked after us. We have tried salmon&shrimp pasta (also can be gluten free which was a plus for me), fish like tuna steak and sea bass, mixed grilled meats, gorgonzola steak, veggie burger and cocktails.

My only issue was, not just at this place,but like everywhere that I could not drink a properly done, good cappuchino. They make the cappuchino somehow watery which to me is not a cappuchino. Apart from that everything was very tasty and nicely presented. A must try if you want to eat fresh quality food. The chef needs a medal and of course the staff...

I would say this is an okay restaurant to visit while on the beach as the food you will eat here will be acceptable at most

We have ordered quite a lot as a group, grilled calamari, spaghetti, cevapcici and everything tasted okay, but not good.

Cevapcici were burnt, tasted a bit bitter, ajvar wasn’t that great and the fries were good

Grilled calamari wasn’t the greatest, didn’t have a great taste, the olive oil on the table is your typical shop bought one, nothing special.

Spaghetti frutti di mare was just a good spaghetti, but the taste of seafood was meh, I would expect it to taste much better as we are in Makarska. There are definitely much better options out there which make you appreciate the taste of seafood they have here in Croatia.

Oh and the drinks, the drinks seemed watered down and not that great, 9€ for your basic aperol or limoncello which didn’t have much taste.
