Vicenco Grill Bar — Restaurant in Grad Makarska

We went here because of the great reviews and because we've seen people praise their grilled meat, but that was a big mistake. We ordered soup, which is said to be a daily soup, but we got some sour microwaved tomato soup with half cooked pasta. Other than this, we also ordered ćevapčići, and I must say those were some of the worst ones I've ever had. They came burned and the meat wasn't the best quality, so definitely not the best in Makarska, as we've seen some people describe them. The fries that came with the meal were good, and so was the side salad we ordered. The staff on the other hand was polite even though we have been waiting for our meals for a while, I understand that it was crowded so I don't hold it against them. As for the restaurant, given the prices you'd expect at least to be able to eat in peace without the smoke from the grill hitting you straight in the face and wasps flying around and landing on your food (we haven't had this issue in any other restaurant in Makarska). A true feast for the palate! The grilled octopus at is an absolute masterpiece! From the first moment this dish appeared on my table, I knew I was in for something special. The delicate, perfectly grilled octopus tentacles were tempting with their aroma and appetizing appearance. Every bite was an explosion of flavor – the meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and full of fresh sea taste, while the subtle hint of the grill added a unique character to it. The preparation was masterful. The octopus was neither rubbery not dry – a perfect balance was achieved. Wow. We had some amazing and delicious food here. It was a feast for our taste buds! We had both the Mix Meat Platter (2 person) that I shared with my brother in law and my fiancee had the stuffed chicken which she said it was the best she ate in Makarska so far. Regarding our mix meat platter we had 4 cevapcici -which were super tasty, 2 stuffed sort of cevapcici that were amazing, 2 slices of beef steak that was cooked rare and as a rare steak lover is was amazing! 2 pieces of grilled chicken breasts and 2 sausages. As a side we had some pan fried vegetables, potato wedges, chopped onions and the cevapcici sauce they serve that resembles to the Eastern European zacusca. Overall it was the best food we had in Makarska by far, the waiter was knowledgeable and answered all our questions and knew how to make us feel welcomed.
