El Jigue Restaurant — Restaurant in Trinidad

This place actually deserves zero stars. My wife and I went there three times. First time they asked us if we didn't want to go someplace else, even though most of the tables were not occupied. Second time they told us preparing the food would take a long time because of a group eating there. The group appeared to be invisible. Third time they told us we needed to leave immediately because of a "huge" group. The group consisted of four people. The rest of the place was empty. The food is overpriced and anything but good, but because of inflation we had to go there. Otherwise we wouldn't have. The staff is unfriendly, works slowly, and tries to avoid working to instead sit down to play with their cellphones. Horrible place that everyone...

Leckeres Essen. Wir hatten als Vorspeise einen Salat 180 Peso (obwohl Früchtesalat bestellt), einmal Hühnchen 625 Peso und einmal Lobster 1690 Peso, als Nachtisch Milchreis 65 Peso und Coke Cola 250 Peso. Essen war lecker, Bedienung freundlich, zwar konnte sie kein Englisch aber die Karte ist auch auf englisch mit Preisen nur der Lobster nicht drauf.

Liebe Touristen, bitte seit euch bewusst, dass ihr in kuba seit! Hier ist nicht immer alles erhältlich wie ihr es von zu Hause gewohnt seid und uns Touristen wird schon mehr angeboten als die Einheimischen bekommen! Richtige Milch bekommt man auf seine Lebensmittelkarte nur bis zum 4. Lebensjahr und bis zum 7. Lebensjahr noch Milchpulver, danach nur noch wenn vorhanden im Laden zu kaufen, zustehen tut es dem Kubaner nicht - aber den Touristen. Fragt doch mal in eurem hotel wie viel Zucker sie täglich für die ganzen Touristen haben? In unserem letzten hotel bekam die Küchenchefin maximal 2kg Zucker für den ganzen Tag für alle Bars und Restaurant in der Bettenhochburg (250 Zimmer). Ihr Touristen tankt mit euren Mietautos auch an anderen Tankstellen wo beim Benzin nicht nur eine bestimmte Menge pro Wagen abgegeben wird oder auch mal nichts mehr gibt - ihr bekommt immer was und werdet auch nicht auf der Straße kontrolliert! Es ist echt schlimm wie viele Touristen sich hier beschweren, dass nicht alles auf der Karte erhältlich ist, und keine Deko auf dem Teller ist, das es heute nur Saft gibt und und und. Ihr seit nicht in Europa oder Kanada sondern in kuba, was seit 1960 ein Embargo hat und es damit schwer hat Sachen zu importieren und das auch in ausreichender Menge. Ihr solltet euch vielleicht auch mal mit dem Land Kuba auseinder setzen und nicht auf eurem gewohnten Luxus von zu...

Very good location. They also have band there. We sat in the front but noticed there was a backyard too. Food was OK, nothing special. Service was slow. Asked a few times to get our food to the table. It was after lunch hour, only 3 tables including us. My garlic shrimp was good. My son's pizza was small and not tasty.
