Terrible service – we will never come back. I used to come to this restaurant almost every evening with my husband and child, as we live just across the street. We were very loyal guests, coming for both dinners and cocktails.
On Saturday, August 30th at 13:40, I came with my relatives for lunch. At the reception there was a tall dark-haired man and a blonde woman (both refused to give their names – shame on you). They offered us a table in the middle of the hall where the music was extremely loud, making it impossible to talk. Since we hadn’t seen each other for a long time, we asked to be seated at one of the two free small tables in the front row (which had no “reserved” sign).
The host, however, lied to us, claiming the tables were reserved for 14:00. This was absolutely false, as the kitchen was closing at 14:00 and no such reservations existed. Instead, the blonde hostess with blue eyelashes offered us a table under the blazing sun, even though the restaurant was far from full at that time.
And this is not the first time we experienced such unprofessional treatment. Once, I came with a friend for dinner and the same male host refused to give us a proper table, forcing us to dine at a low cocktail table, while a regular dining table stood empty nearby the entire evening. When we left, the table was still empty. Thank you very much for ruining the experience once again.
This shows that the hosts care more about their pride than about guests’ comfort. We were a group of six people ready to spend a good amount of money, but instead we left and will never return.
Dear management, you should know that you have lost a loyal customer who visited your place almost every day. This is not a cheap restaurant, but your staff behaves as if they forgot who the restaurant is really for. Hosts are there to make guests feel welcome and comfortable – not to play the role of gatekeepers.
Dear Amara team,
I am glad that you are monitoring feedback, but I regret that you do not believe a loyal guest. The table I requested had no RESERVED sign — it was empty, and of course, I never asked to move other guests.
Your hostesses refused to give their names, which is why I described their appearance in my review. I once worked as a hostess myself, and believe me, what I experienced in your restaurant that day was highly unprofessional. That is the reason I wrote the review — you are losing guests right at the entrance.
Thank you for your reply. I wish you...
Read moreI've been to Plus Sea several times and this was my first time back after a couple of years and I have to say I was disappointed by the service. I arrived first waiting for my friends, waited 15 minutes and did not receive a menu until I asked for one. Then no one came to take my order as you would except after having being given a menu and had to ask a waiter to order. The cocktail was prepared and it was ready and waiting on the bar counter for 10 minutes with waiters walking up and down leisurely without taking notice that they had a pick up. Finally when the waiter decided to bring over the drink he decided to have a chat with the bartender first about their shifts and annual leave. When my friends arrived we had to ask for menus once again. For the drinks once again we had to wait a long time, they were ready and waiting on the counter until one of my friends had to ask them about our drinks. I must also note that it was not fully booked and that more attention seemed to be given to those who were of a specific nationality i.e. presumed to be big tippers. I ordered the kale chickpea tahini salad and asked for it without parmesan as I am vegan and the waiter noted it as he repeated the order back to us. The salad arrived full of kale and a couple of the other ingredients that were advertised in the menu, 5 chickpeas, 2 olives, 2 sundried tomatoes. I began eating it and soon discovered flakes of parmesan! I called over the waiter and told him about the parmesan, he apologised and offered to change the salad which I accepted. The new salad was prepared with much more care and attention than the first, more colorful and full of ingredients. The only thing that came fast and eagerly was the bill! To be fair the cocktails were tasty, the decor and location is great, food is ok but used to be much better and the service is simply appalling. What makes a great restaurant is the service offered. Even if everything else was perfect, if the service is still bad then customers will not return. Highly disappointed and if the standard remains the same I will definitely not...
Read moreNestled right by the beach, this boho-style restaurant offers a charming, laid-back atmosphere that perfectly complements the seaside location. The decor is an eclectic mix of rustic wood, colorful textiles, and soft lighting, creating an inviting space that feels both cozy and chic. The sound of the waves gently crashing nearby and the sea breeze flowing through the open-air seating area add a magical touch to the dining experience.
However, while the ambiance is top-notch, the food leaves much to be desired. The menu, although beautifully presented, falls short in both quality and quantity. The dishes are surprisingly basic, featuring very few ingredients and lacking the creativity or flavor one might expect from such a stylish venue. Portions are small, and despite the simplicity of the offerings, the prices are steep, making it difficult to justify the cost.
A prime example is the Caesar salad, priced at a staggering 21 euros. What arrived was nothing more than a bowl of plain lettuce with a meager drizzle of dressing and a sparse scattering of croutons. The dish was so minimal that it’s difficult to justify the price—a real shame given the promise of the location!
Overall, this restaurant excels in creating a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere, but unfortunately, the food does not live up to the setting. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy a drink and take in the stunning beach views, this might be worth a visit. However, if you're seeking a memorable culinary experience, you may want to explore...
