I have to say that I am very disappointed by the Malindi Beach Bar. Thes followings statements are some of the reasons why I am giving 1 star to this critic: 1) I visited the Beach bar twice ( I gave them a second chance) and I have to say the service was very slow and seem as unorganized but at least they were polite.* 2) The sun beds were dirty and unattended. 3) The sun beds were very expensive with no reason. 2 sun beds and 1 umbrella cost 11 euros and they give you two towels. A nice gesture but the towels were dirty with stains and even when the staff saw them, they did not even tried to change it. They expected me to ask them for another towel. What do they think? I though this gesture was very disrespectful. 4) Everything was very expensive. One bottle of water (500ml) costs 1.80€, 1 Freddo Espresso Coffee 4.40€ and one Chicken Sandwich 11.80€. 5) It doesn't have its own parking and someone has to pay 2€ to the local parking service in order to leave its car. 6) On top of all, the Beach is ok and the sea is dirty and I have to grade it as bellow average. I had heard many good things about this beach bar but in the 2 days that I visited them, I have to say, they did not meet my standards. *The beach was not crowded.

This was the 2nd time we went there for valentines because the food the 1st time was AMAZING.. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy the food.. It's been two years since we went there so I'm not sure if something changed in the kitchen.. the steak was ok, but some of the vegetables were almost raw! Not almost cooked but almost RAW, seriously, its an expensive restaurant (€40 steak), so you'd expect the veggies to be cooked, not just seared slightly to make them look cooked.. However, the appetizers with the cheese and mushrooms were cooked to perfection. As for my husband, he was satisfied even though he made a comment of not being how it was the first time, but nevertheless, he was pleased..

Very disappointed with the cleanliness of this beach front! I’m a regular customer and always take the wooden sunbeds with mattress & towel — but almost every time the area is dirty. Yesterday’s rubbish (bottles, cups, cigarette butts) is left all around, and no one bothers to clean it. The strange part is that staff do come to “prepare” the sunbeds — they brush off the sand, but never clear the rubbish unless you specifically ask. And even then, most of them just reply “yes, of course” and then do nothing. The only exception is the Asian girl in the mornings, who actually does a proper job.

We came to limassol today to meet our family. We decided to go for coffee and pancakes to your restaurant. Big mistake!!!! We ordered and after about 20min the waiter came with our coffees when he was serving us and (thank god )he spilled coffee on my sister in law. The white blouse turned brown the whole tracksuit drenched her and my daughter's shoes. The waiter muttered something under his nose like sorry and left. We went to the toilet to wash, she had to take off her blouse because it was all flooded. After another 15min we get coffee and food. The funniest thing was that the supervisor only asked if she is daksi...that is not a proper way to do service recover!!!!! we were offered our drinks for the rest we paid. No one came to us to check what was going on, to try to get out of the way a bit. People from the next table were just watching and they couldn't believe what happened and how Staff acted!!!! At the end they charged us a small water for 2.90 which we cleaned our dirty things like a phone bag that was on the chair next to it. When we left they looked at us as we were crazy and they were just waiting for us to leave!!! drama!!! After morning coffee all day in a wet tracksuit without a T-shirt and I'm not talking about a 3 EUR t-shirt that you can only throw in the trash!!! So thank you very much for the fantastic service!!!! Congratulations for a great staff and huge bravo for supervising your team because all your staff is very young and accident always...

This place is only 10 minute walk from our house but after being disappointed time after time with the quality of food we decided to avoid it in the future. The food is not consistent, mostly heated in the microwave, the back area near the kitchen is dirty and the prices are very high. It is disappointing that they have such a good location but the food is not good. The Uptown Square concept of the big mega restaurant where all the food is prepared in the central kitchen up the road and brought to Malindi to be reheated in the microwave has been failing them. I am not sure when will they realize this.

Edit: Responding to the owner's response below: I have no reason to leave a bad review as I have left 100s of reviews on businesses and ~95% of my reviews are 5 stars.

We ate at the restaurant several dozen times over the years. I also walk on the footpath behind Malindi several times a week at all hours. I have seen many times the vans that bring the food from the central kitchen as they are unloaded. I have also seen the big trays with individually wrapped pre-cooked portions. I understand that some food like grilled or fried are done on-site. OK, maybe the central kitchen is not the issue. But the fact remains that the quality has gone down, the back of the restaurant remains dirty and the prices are now very very high, so we mostly...
