Just had quite the experience with a party of 10. The evening took off with a weird start. Within 30 seconds of sitting down the waiter nearly threw the menu’s at us. Without even having the time to look at the variety of drinks we were near forced to order our main dishes.
2 of our party got their main’s well 20 minutes before the rest of our party did.
Eventually everybody got their main course within 30 minutes.
For all except 1, all of our dishes were excellent, the burger my friend had was abysmal, so for him we ordered the steak Diane after filing a complaint. His order took nearly 40 minutes to serve. (Mind you we have been sitting at the restaurant for well over 1,5 hours after drinks).
After (two!) complaints on when his dish might come up we were met with a hostile server who was furious with us regarding the fact that we were asking about the time it took. All we did was ask when our friend’s dish might be served.
Eventually his dish arrived, the dish itself was fine but it was met with extreme hostility.
Within 5 minutes of receiving his main course we were handed the bill, none of us requested the bill, and the hand- over was met with a “ thank you”, but he might as well have said “pay and leave”. Let me state here that none of us was given the option OR MENU to order a dessert.
There were some inconsistencies with the bill, (two of our party had a set dinner with desserts which they didn’t receive).
After an attempt to inquire about this our party was met with a host of 5 people surrounding our table, the entire atmosphere felt very hostile. (Mind you all of us were sitting down, trying to diffuse the situation).
Eventually everything calmed down, we paid our bill (minus a €5 discount regarding the desserts) in full.
Perhaps we met the servers on a bad day, perhaps it was the excessive heat. This kind of behaviour from servers is unacceptable in restaurants.
Let me state again that the food (except the burger) was quite good. The overall attitude we were was horrible.
I would not recommend this restaurant if you are accustomed to typical...
Read moreFood is nice staff is friendly and helpful price not to bad but portion can be bigger it is bit small portion to add on tonight was really bad service sit for a while before getting serve waited 15 minutes for my juice then about another 10 minutes for my food and they totally forgot to give me dinner roll normally the older guy give a good service tonight mix with younger staff they are like dreaming rather then working need to train their staff a little bit more haven’t got a clue what they are doing
I know what is like to train staff I work my whole life in restaurants take away pubs and catering company now my semi retiring life I go out to eat and enjoy life but that night was a bit upsetting most of the staff was concentrating on the bigger tables not just me that get left out at the end I didn’t wait for the bill I went straight to the till pay my bill and walk out why am I upset cause didn’t even get apology from that idiot that serve me and he try making lot of excuses for his bad service if he was working in one of my old work place he wouldn’t last 5 minutes
To add on to train a staff it doesn’t take years to is really depend on the staff are they willing to learn or just there for the wages and that night the young guy who served me is like day dreaming and haven’t got a clue what he is doing I started working in restaurants since I was 13 I know when people are really good worker or just pretend to be dumb I had trained many people in my work life from delivery driver to waiter and waitress to working in the kitchen or at the bar I had even worked in a fish and chip shop till I open my own restaurant so my opinion is some of your younger staff are lazy and some don’t even have clue what they are doing for long term you will loss customer because of bad service you listen or not it really doesn’t matter to me not my loss or what I do when the service or food is bad I just go to...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant at 16:00 today , my disabled mother, her small elderly Pekingese (in a transfer box), and myself, who is three months pregnant. I must add that before visiting first time this restaurant I called to ask if dog is allowed and I was informed that is allowed. When we entered, the left side of the restaurant was completely empty, and the right side had only three occupied tables. We chose the right side to make sure we wouldn’t disturb anyone.
The waiter who came to us was extremely angry rude and unprofessional from the start. He didn’t even greet us, his first words were simply, “How many people?” We said “two and a half,” joking lightly. When he saw the small dog, he made a rude face and told us to sit “far away from people.”
I explained that we had visited the restaurant aSaturday night, and there had been no issue with the dog. He then said, “There are days of exception,” in a dismissive tone and didn't even looked at me . I told him that if we were causing a problem, we would leave, but his attitude remained unfriendly and disrespectful.
I tried to tell him I would speak with the manager about his behavior, but he continued to be rude, so we decided to leave. It was heartbreaking — I just wanted to take my disabled mum out for a quiet lunch after she’d been home all week, and instead, we were treated like we weren’t welcome. My mum cried about treated like this.
Very disappointing experience, and I hope management addresses this staff member’s attitude. No customer deserves to be...
