Unfortunately I have to share my experience in hopes the the restaurant will read this and might improve on these points in the near future.
Starting off with the booking. We call up and book for an early dinner for 7pm on a Sunday evening. So far so good. We arrive to find an ongoing promotional party with a DJ, with the music playing so loudly I had to lean over to even hear the person next me. We thought that the volume might decrease as more customers started coming in for dinner service, but no. Instead the music continued as loudly, with saldy only 1 person being into it from the whole restaurant, whilist at least 3 pre-booked tables walked out before even ordering because it was uncomfortably loud. So big mistake number 1 on the restaurants behalf was not letting their customers know from the time of the booking that there would've been an event taking place with loud music. Second mistake was not taking the customers dislike of the situation and at least lower the music to a reasonable volume.
Moving on to the food. We ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese from the kids menu, which as far as I know it is common sense and curtesy to bring the kids food as fast as possible, especially when requested by the parents. The pasta came half an hour later, after my husband and I already had already finished our two sharing dishes. The pasta wasn't Spaghetti, it was linguine, so not as described on the menu. Over cooked sticky linguine. The mince beef was in chucks indicating it was from frozen, and neither the beef of the pasta had been infused with the tomato sause. It was as if all 3 elements where prepared separately and then just chumped together in the end. The amount of garnish was ridiculous, there was more parsley in there than tomato.
Moving on the very disappointing ceviche, just not worth the money don't bother getting it. Amara hotel has a significantly better one for the same price.
The crab bites were nice, the sause on the side wasn't good though. Even a simple refreshing tartar sause would've been alot better than whatever that was.
The prawns saganaki were good, could use abit more feta but all in all good.
The seafood risotto had a good texture but again I feel like they overgarnish all of their good and the risotto was not exception unfortunately.
This is my second time visiting this restaurant, and it was clear from the first time that they should really use coasters for each drink. In both visits they did not and the table always for very wet, soaking the napkin, out arms and even dripping down the table on our clothes.
The chairs could use some kind of cushion/pillow, and if you was a tall person you will find their tables very uncomfortable. A table should have at least 70cm clearing under it for the legs, but their tables are like 10-12cm thick, which means an average height person like myself can sit but does not have enough space to even cross their legs.
I don't usually give negative reviews, on the contrary i go out of my way to give positive reviews wherever I can. But unfortunately NOA was extremely disappointing yesterday, especially for...
Read more23€ for an average size pork chop and quality. Apparently their pork and chicken can only be made well done. 20€ for their NOA burger which is also bad quality and also made poorly. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because of the great atmosphere which is a huge shame to ruin this rating with the bad quality food.
While the stunning seaside locale and captivating ambiance of this beach bar restaurant deserve a standing ovation, its culinary offerings left much to be desired, a dissonance that diminished the overall experience.
At 23€, the pork chop was disappointingly average in both size and quality, and it was surprisingly communicated to us that the pork and chicken dishes were only available in a well-done finish, an unexpected constraint that is certainly unusual for establishments of this category.
Equally disappointing was their signature NOA burger, priced at 20€. Its lackluster quality and lack of finesse in preparation left a regrettable impression, falling short of the expectations set by the cost and setting.
The saving grace of the establishment lies in its energetic and delightful atmosphere. However, it's a regrettable paradox that such an engaging environment is overshadowed by the lackluster quality of food. As such, I find myself compelled to award only two stars - an appraisal I sincerely wish could have been loftier. The enhancement of their culinary performance would significantly improve the dining experience and make the overall visit much...
Read moreIt’s hard for me to decide on the amount of stars to give NOA, 3 or 4? Decided to give 4 stars to encourage improvement. I have been here three times in 2022, and I honestly think it’s the best beach bar by the design (great refurbishing recently) and music. Its the only place in Limassol that gives a bit of a Mykonos / Ibiza vibe. Menu is interesting but presentation and service can be improved. €10 for two beds and an umbrella is incredibly cheap, but bring your own towel as they don’t have any. Lots of food options, with different quality level, surprisingly great oysters!
To the restaurant: In general there’s still a lot of room for improvement (and potential), especially in terms of service. People who work here are nice, but you need to educate your employees a bit more in order to live up to the quality standard I assume you aim for. I think I never ordered one thing that I didn’t have to repeat at least once. Also, please consider to provide towels as well as serving Champagne by the glass.
Overall, this place has a huge potential to become better than other options in Limassol, but there’s still work to be done in terms of service / experience. Keep up the work and look forward visiting again soon.
