"Platinum Suites" is located in the center of Kakopetria village.||Kakopetria is a picturesque village, especially in the winter when it snows at Troodos. But in anyway, Kakopetria is beautiful, all the year through, that's why I choose to visit and stay at Kakopetria 4-5 times the year. Everything there is so relaxing and quiet. It's a brake from our busy everyday stressed/working life.||I chose to spend our Xmas Holidays at Platinum Suite, because it's really beautiful and worth it.||In the apt/suite there is a fully equipped kitchenette (consisting of fridge, toaster, kettle, electric oven and washing machine.) There is a small cozy dining/living room with a/c, plasma tv, cd & dvd player. The best in the living room is the fireplace. The most important is that the owner provided us with firewoods for the 3 days of our staying without any extra charge.||There is one comfortable bedroom with cupboard. There is also a/c and a hairdryer. The best for me is the jacuzzi/bath. There is also a furnished balcony.||There free and strong wifi signal everywhere.||I really recommend this apt/suite to couples and families, because you will feel so comfortable, like in your own house.||You can prepare your meals like in your house (especially breakfast). If you want to eat in a restaurant, or drink your coffee, Platinum Suites offers Platinum Restaurant / Cafeteria, so you can enjoy your meal (lunch, brunch, dinner) or just a coffee or a drink. It also provides crepes, sweets etc.||For sure I will revisit it, because we all need a bit of enjoyment and break to relax after a busy working week.||A big "thank you" to the owner (mr. Evgenios) and the employees for being so polite, professional and helpful, and did their best to make our holidays more enjoyable.||The only negative for Platinum Suites, is the lack of view, but we didn't bother at all, because everything is so perfect...
Read moreWe booked an apartment at short notice, unfortunately with a poor view. Once we opened the door we sensed a stale smell, like moldrew. The one bedroom was clean and tidy. The small kitchen also. The kettle was dirty and full of limescale. The oven needed cleaning. The bathroom was clean, but the wooden door, once opened almost fell part. The apartment is located above the restaurant/cafe. There is no elavator, only stairs. At night during our stay, we were left with not the most plesant experience. At 11.30am, down stairs outside the restaurant, several young male locsls where fighting and arguing loudly, using unappropriate language. This continued for about 1 hour, when it became more tense and a few strikes where returned between the young men. Instead of departing without furthermore noise, they drove off with their cars as if they where in a street drag. The restaurant/cafe wad full I assume, noise vould be heard from upstairs. Not again, I prefer...
Read moreWe booked this value for money hotel for 1 night during September. It was around €50 for a one bedroom apartment. On first sight it looked great for just €50. It was spacious, it had a nice small kitchen, it even had jacuzzi in the bathroom. However, on a second look, the (recent) renovation had some (ok a lot of unfinished touches). The bathroom door was broken, the bedding was not good/comfortable, the outside door needs to be locked all the time, otherwise it opens from outside, and lastly, there is no proper reception (the 'reception' is through the Platinum cafe/restaurant that is closed on Mondays). We arrived on a Monday and the only way to get our key was to contact the owner. Lastly, the parking on the basement is not very spacious and convenient, however it was free. There is also a paid local parking...
