Minaides Hotel — Hotel in Kakopetria

We stayed in Minaides hotel a day before hiking in MT Olympus. The surrounding village is very beautiful with it's small streets, shops, restaurants & mountains all around. The view form the hotel was awesome - snow capped mountains - it's just what we love.||There were no problems finding the hotel, it's parking. The staff didn't talk much English, but that didn't bother us, as they were friendly and helpful.||Rooms were pretty small and outdated, but it totally matched and added to the overall being-in-the-mountains feeling. Every room had a heater, so you could make it as hot as you want. Also there were private balconies, which is always a win+there's a streams just under the balcony and amazing mountain views, so it was great.||Hotel also had a pretty big lobby with a game room.||The breakfast was included in our price & it was awesome. At first the lady brought us continental breakfast stuff and coffee, from our experience we thought that it could be it, which was a bit disappointing, since we didn't plan to stop anywhere else before the hike up MT Olympus, then she just kept coming with all the food anyone could ever want & it was all very good. We went to "Mindaides Hotel" last year as a school trip for 3 days. Good things was the location and was not expensive at all. Big rooms, with clean sheets and bedding.
