The previous reviews almost put me off visiting, however I’m now glad it didn’t. We travelled as a family of 5 and a dog.||Cost - €170 for 2 x rooms on NYE which included breakfast. €130 spent on the evening for food and drink which kept us all going until after midnight. In comparison to eat out at a restaurant on NYE I expected this to be double in price.||Restaurant & Food - We had a set price buffet, not many options however this included dessert. The food was nice and started at 2100, so it was nice to have a few drinks beforehand. Ordering off the menus was also available. The breakfast the next morning was basic but we was happy with it. The restaurant was packed full and it’s a good job we booked a table. It was a cosy setting with a log fire, bar ect.||Entertainment - I’m not sure if this is routinely in place or just for NYE but It was good, the kids were not a fan as it was traditional guitar/ singing. The adults enjoyed this as it really made you feel as if you was away from home and in the heart of Cyprus. They kept us all entertained until the new year.||The staff - No problems at all. They was plenty around and we was never waiting for drinks.||The rooms - the two rooms we got just so happened to open up in the middle which was ideal for us as it felt like one house with two bathrooms. They was a fireplace however we just turned on the electric heaters. We had a TV and internet in both rooms. A cot bed was added for one of the kids. The location of the rooms were less than 25m to the restaurant. The rooms felt cosy at it was winter (summer could be a different story) and it was a different experience for the kids compared to the 4 /5* hotels on the coast.||Cleanliness - I mention this separately as it is mentioned a lot in the previous reviews. It had clearly been cleaned however these are old buildings with stone floors and wood beams. It’s not a room that I wound want to sit in all day, my opinion is if I am sat in the room all day I will be missing out on the surrounding area and village. Also because I had a dog I was happy with no carpets and things been older. That said if I was staying for anymore than two days and did not have the dog I would look to stay somewhere a little more modern to no doubt at a higher price.||Village - Looked great at night with all the Christmas tree lights on. Everything close and it felt like been in the 1800s. Nice views, rivers, restaurants, shops. The walk was less then 5 mins from our room.||Summary (in winter) - In my opinion if you enjoy camping or staying in places where things are not always immaculate then this is a nice place to visit. If you need to feel in a clean environment all the time then stick to the 4*+ hotels probably on the coast. I have stayed in hotels in Paphos, Aya Napa and Protaras which did not give us the same experience or atmosphere. If anything this was probably one of the better places we have stayed at, and as a package was...
Read moreI booked room with jacuzzi, on the day of arrival when we were already on the half way , I got phone call that room was given somebody else!!! They offered us a different room with a shower instead, I was so disappointed 😞, because I was looking forward a lot for a bit get away holidays. Nevertheless we decided to continue our trip When we finally found hotel / no parking area nearby/ a person at Reception did have any idea about our reservation!! He sent us to wait outside, till he will find out what happened to our reservation. After a while, he came out and told us that , we did not "sound" we really like to come and he offered us a room with shower instead which was still occupied!!!/It was already 6:00pm and people which stayed in there, still got their luggage in !!!/ so he couldn't even show us the room! We were offered to wait until room will be prepared and next day they will move us to the room we have originally booked. There was an open big plastic bin full of garbage next to main door to hotel's reception! There we were all the time waiting, nothing pleasant to smell and see after long 2 hours drive in 40 degrees !!!. We are pet lovers, but there were cats literally everywhere around/ no wonder why ,probably very well fed from garbage / In general ,place did not look clean at all and definitely won't make you feel welcomed! We were so disappointed and tired but, we rather decided to go back than to stay there!...
Read moreUnfortunately it was the worst hotel we ever stayed at within Cyprus. I booked a room with river and mountain view and i could just see filthy roof, just hear the river flowing and looking at a hill (not mountain) that had no trees. No water for the double Jacuzzi - We went to inform them and send me pack up telling me its gonna be fixed which it hadn't so i had to go back and forth until i got upset, told them off and then they finally fixed it. The Jacuzzi smelled like sewage. The plastic shade outside was so old that pieces were falling while we were having our lunch so we had to move to another table. Lazy crew Stuff were like robots, not smiling. Breakfast was poor The were poor at assisting in general Cats everywhere Bones and other litter outside the bin, in front of the hotel's entrance. There was no Parking so we had to walk quite long distance to reach the hotel (around 500 meters away) Not clean at all in general We went to relax and left more tired... P.S Unfortunately i did not read the recent reviews of the hotel prior booking. Reading them now, i realised that other people had similar issues with us (no water) which means that the hotel was aware of the problems and did not take them into account and improve the hotel therefore the stay of...
