МО Pizza Cyprus — Restaurant in Limassol Municipality

I was recommended this pizzeria as the "best" Neapolitan pizza in Cyprus.

I went on a Monday evening. The stand is located in a food court so I did not bother to inspect the lavatories.

The promo video they run on the screen located above the counter indeed shows them taking out of their oven a luscious Neapolitan pizza with a puffed up crust suggesting they use a dough that is proofed at least 24hrs. Indeed, their spiel consists in telling you how the Neapolitan pizza has received UNESCO recognition and they even proceed to tell you that the dough is proofed 48hrs. Yes, but... that is not what you get when you buy it...

When I pointed out that the pizza I received was not Neapolitan, the pizzaiolo proceeded to tell me that this is how they do it now because they sell sooooo many pizzas that they have no room to store dough so it can be...

A year ago, this pizza was great. But now—what a disappointment. The “Italian-style” is just words because what we received was far from it. One pizza was oval, bent to fit in the box, and badly burned on the bottom. The other had toppings thrown on randomly—three slices of sausage stuck together here, two there, and just one somewhere else. Even Papa John’s does a better job.

The man making the pizza should be fired YESTERDAY! My friend ordered a pizza, and with the same gloves that he touch money of previous clients, he started making our pizza. She kindly asked him to change gloves but he started screaming to take our money back and leave. I thought it was a misunderstanding and explained that it’s a matter of hygiene rules.
