Souvlaki Livadias — Restaurant in Limassol Municipality

I absolutely loved this place! The decoration is beautiful, very traditional, and they serve amazing pita gyros and souvlaki. The food was simply delicious – I fell in love with it and ended up eating there almost every day while I was in Limassol.

The service is a bit questionable, but understandable. The two people working at the counter seem to be the owners; they are older and understand English, though they don’t speak it very well. While they weren’t particularly warm or friendly, the service was still fine and acceptable. Considering the cultural differences and their age, I didn’t mind it too much.

The food, however, is outstanding, and the prices are very affordable. I definitely recommend this place – if you’re in Limassol, make sure to try their souvlaki and pita gyros portions. They are...

I used to be a regular customer at Levadia, but unfortunately, the quality has significantly declined over the past few years. Fresh food has become a rarity, and today was the final straw for me.

I ordered a simple meal—pork straws and pita. While the pita was fresh, the meat was clearly not. It had a strange smell and an unpleasant, almost soapy taste. It seemed to have been overcooked multiple times, making it very dry and difficult to eat.

Sadly, a 30 minutes later, I experienced severe stomach discomfort, including food poisoning symptoms. It was such an upsetting experience that I’ve decided I won’t be eating from Levadia again.

I visited this place at night, on December 7, (~5:00) 2024. The cashier openly mocked me, joking around with the entire team of cooks. They refused to speak to me in English, preferring to banter among themselves. On the bright side, no one spit in my gyro, and it was edible, so I’ll give them one star for that.

To top it all off, the cashier conveniently “forgot” to give me my change.

If you’re hungry at night, pick literally any other place.
