Overall, my experience at this restaurant was quite mixed.
Positives:
The interior was cozy and nicely decorated.
Our food arrived quickly.
The dishes were flavorful and well-presented.
Negatives:
From the very beginning, my family and I felt unwelcome due to the waitress's attitude.
She asked multiple times who ordered each dish (I was translating for my parents), but when the food arrived, it was placed randomly on the table without regard to who ordered what. Normally, that wouldn’t be an issue, but given how particular she was earlier, I expected better coordination.
The waitress was confident she could remember everything without writing it down, yet only 2 out of the 4 drinks we ordered were initially brought out. I had to remind them again, and even then, only one more drink arrived. It took three reminders to get all our drinks.
We also asked for boiling water for my daughter’s food, but I had to remind them four times before it was finally brought—even though the restaurant was half empty when we arrived, which made the delay even more surprising.
To top it off, they served us still water without asking and charged €4 for it. I understand that in Cyprus you often have to ask for water, but charging for something we didn’t request feels wrong.
In summary, while the food and ambiance were decent, there were several small but frustrating issues—especially regarding service. When you're paying above-average prices for a meal, you naturally expect a better experience than what neighboring restaurants offer. Unfortunately, that wasn’t...
Read moreOk so here it is. A good attempt at an elevated level of service compared to the 'norm' in Cyprus but attention to detail needs serious improvement. For starters, although we were in no rush, it took well over 20 minutes from ordering our bottle of wine to receiving it at the table. Really no excuse for this on an off season Tuesday night. Also I should never have to pour my own wine but we just couldn't wait any longer with empty glasses and wanting to continue sipping. We partook in appetizers and entree's. No one came by either time to ask how our food was tasting after it was served. Our server was certainly pleasant but only WHEN she was there. The calamari should always be served hot (not warm) which means it was sitting awhile in the kitchen waiting to be picked up and served. A suggestion, perhaps serve the underwhelming sweet thai chili sauce with it on the side instead of over top. You can tell it's the pre-made stuff you get in the store and sometimes a crispy flour dusted fried piece of calamari with lemon just can't be beat. Our entree's (lobster ravioli + king prawn souvlaki) were enjoyable. Overall we were just content with our experience. Am I nitpicking? Perhaps. But if this is the type of restaurant you want to portray than these are the things you'll have to pay attention to. I think we'll give it another shot in the future and try some other selections. Certainly the funniest part of the evening was hearing two heated cats yelling and scrapping underneath a customers table and watching them jump from...
Read moreWent to this restaurant with 3 friends last Saturday evening and it was the BEST food experience I've ever had! Everything about this restaurant was excellent, so much so that I have been raving about this to all my friends ever since!
The decor inside was stylish and modern yet the ambience was casual and relaxed.
The service was excellent - professional, efficient and friendly.
Everything on the menu sounded tasty so we ordered 4 main courses and asked the waitering staff to set out the dishes in the centre of the table so that we could all experience all the dishes.
And we were SO glad that we did this because every meal was excellent. We could taste an incredible range of distinct and complementary flavours in each meal.
And if that was not sufficient, the price was incredibly reasonable. With wine and water it came to just 27 euros each! The same meal in London where I live would come out at least £80-£100.
I will definitely be going back!
(N.B. As this is a gourmet experience, I strongly advise people to eat inside rather than in the very casual...
