Neon Phaliron — Restaurant in Limassol Municipality

We have been here several times and it has always been good. Last Saturday I brought my wife and two kids and we had a rather bad experience.

We ordered the half bottle Prosecco (375ml) from the menu but instead they served a 200ml alternative, without telling us. When I asked, they told me the other one was not available.

We ordered a number of starters which were ok in taste but not what I was used to at Neon. One of the halloumi dishes we ordered (single slice) turned out to be the wrong one.

The glass of Chardonnay I ordered was not available so again they served an alternative.

As we were already close to full, we ordered the "Just meat" option for the lamb chops and the "Just meat" single chicken skewer. They served a pita with chicken and french fries. When asked why, as this wasn't what we ordered, the 4th (!) different waiter by that time, told me it's part of the package from them - very confusing!

When the bill came, we were in for another surprise... The 200ml wine was charged at the same price as the 375ml we ordered. The single slice of halloumi of 2.50 euro was now a 8+ euro dish and both meat dishes were charged as full dish, instead of the "Just meat" option we choose.

When discussing one of these (the chicken), I was told that I got what I got so should pay - even if I didn't order it and regardless that I told the waiter it was wrong when it was served. In the end he reduced the difference for the chicken and by that time we just wanted to leave and paid the rest of inflated bill. Counting the chicken, the bill was 25% higher than what we ordered

As mentioned, we had some great experiences there (both in terms of food and service) but this time both service and food was mediocre and I left feeling...

Rude and patronizing manager and staff, horrible attitude over their mistake with the food. I will not be going back.

Anyone who doesn't like coriander knows how strong and unmistakable the taste is. After asking not to have any fresh coriander in my food and then finding that disgusting taste after two bites, I informed the staff that they made a mistake. Without any apologies or attempt to correct the issue, their manager, together with one server, decided to bring over and show me some other leaf, implying that I'm imagining things. Unfortunately, the only thing I "imagined" is that such a restaurant will have a decent notion of customer service. A place that has been operating successfully for over 35 years non stop for different reasons. The perfect and perhaps only place for premium business lunches in Limassol. Mediterranean cousine with a twist (some Asian influence)and very tasty. I particularly love their Octopus Ceviche, Tuna Balls with Asian Sauce, Wasabi Crab and stuffed Zuchini flowers as well as their Truffle Ravioli. Service is professionel and friendly. Wine list is very satisfactory. The owner Antonis is personally working there everyday and is looking after his clients with utmost care.
