Honestly for a 3-4 star hotel I was surprised how well it turned out to be. The rooms are very clean and the bed is extremely comfortable. Bathroom's a little tight though. But AC and Electricity is always available. The service is great. All the personnel are very helpful, friendly and professional/serviceminded. The proximity to the beach however is what's best about this location. The beach is literally 2 minutes away with lots of restaurants and shops all around the vicinity. There are a few downsides though: the pool area is generally nice but pretty small and very open (there are 5-6 tall buildings surrounding the hotel pool-area) so it doesn't give you that privacy you want. Also since the pool area is pretty small, sunbathing chairs aren't many so they're almost always busy. You have to reserve one early in the morning which is what most guests do here. Another downside is the limited pool hours (10-18) so no midnight pool dips which obviously sucks, but you'll always have the warm embrace of the beach when the pool no longer can deliver. The buffets aren't that great either. There is variety sure but it's not that impressive. Even the occasional evening buffet is mid. There are however bars and restaurants in the hotel besides the buffet so the possibility to get food and drinks throughout the day inside the hotel is available which is great if you do not feel like leaving the place. The hotel stay isn't the cheapest, but considering the upsides especially the hospitality and the proximity to the beach, I'd say it's worth it and I'd recommend it. Easy 8/10 PS. There are MANY cats here. Both in the hotel area and outside. They rely on the kindness of tourists and locals to survive. So please, when you stay here, don't forget to feed them and give them water.

This was my first visit to Limassol and my experience with the Hotel was great. I picked it because of its location, as it is across the road from the beach, and very close to the bus station. The old and new port was only 20 minutes walk, or 5 minutes by bus. Although the hotel is authentic and old with basic amenities (which we expected and were aware of before booking), but that didn't stop it from being an amazing place to stay at! The breakfast was good and with enough varieties for a 3 stars hotel. It was clean tasty and everything was present. Their staff service was awesome! The room was clean and spacious, we were 2 adults with a 10 year old child and it was good enough for us. Balcony spacious as well with good view at the pool. The swimming pool was very clean and fresh and life guards were present all the time. The beds were comfortable and clean, the room smelled good all the time. We had a small issue with the bathroom sink and when were reported it, they made sure to fix it immediately. To be honest I couldn't find a bad comment on the hotel as they made sure all our needs were met from the smallest need such as ordering ice to the room till helping us with were to go and how to use the city's transportation system. I would defiantly recommend this hotel to my friends who are traveling on a budget. Thank you for making our visit memorable and trouble free! :)

My poor classification is more related to a very poor attention and kindness in the reception. The hotel has old decoration in the common areas, old furniture, carpets, etc. But the rooms have been refurbished inside so it's all fine with that, no complains on the rooms decoration. The problem regarding the rooms is that door does not block any noise coming from the corridors, so it can be disturbing if there are movement outside. Breakfast is also a minus. Food and drinks quality and variety are not that nice. On the plus I would put the hotel location (not 100% central, but 20 minutes walking from the Marina area and old town), free parking if you have rented a car and rooms are very reasonable. Swimming pool looks nice but the hotel is located in the middle of many other buildings, so not so nice if you like to use it (I did not). But the minus are definitely the unpleasant staff in the reception. To be honest I do not remember to face such NON FRIENDLY people in a hotel.

Dis recommendation for the odysseia Hotel Kapetanios in Limassol

Dinner at the hotel was very poor, Food was served at dinner that we couldn't eat (mixed meat and milk, etc. in terms of kosher) We went to the reception right after our first dinner at the hotel and asked to change our vacation package from half board to breakfast only We were told by the reception that they contacted Booking and would get a confirmation from them to change the reservation and that they would refund us with the difference. Since then we didn't go to dinner at all at the hotel and in the evening we went to eat in restaurants. After about two days we were told by the reception that the refund is approved and we will see the refund from booking within two weeks at the bank. After about two weeks, we contacted the hotel on the booking app and also by email, but for two months without any response from them! We contacted Booking's customer service and they claim that they are also unable to get hold of the hotel, after two months Booking informed us that they talked to the supervisor at the hotel and she claims that we are lying, and we ate dinner at the hotel all days (8 days), and even the hotel's chef came to offer us alternatives Kosher food for dinner is what was not and was not created I asked Booking to contact the hotel with a request to receive the records of the dinner to see whether we actually ate at the dinners or not, and if we didn't, that they would refund us with the difference because of course the hotel is lying, I was told by the booking supervisor that no matter what happens if the hotel does not approve the refund, they do not return the money no matter what, but as a good gesture they want to give me a refund of 25 euros!! ! It should be noted that the hotel approved the refund when we stayed at the hotel, after checking out and when we left, they denied the case and claimed that we were lying In addition, the baby bed we received was broken, the board of the mattress was completely broken. I contacted the reception and they told me that they had nothing to do with it. It was 8:00 pm and our baby wanted to sleep but her bed was broken! The girl from the spa got us a hard yoga mattres so that our baby could sleep tonight, the next day they changed the bed after fights with the representative at the reception. Do not approach this hotel, horrible staff, horrible food, and horrible service!!! We will never order again through Booking following their denial of the case and especially we will not set foot in this...

This hotel is a high end 3* hotel but the stay was 5* for a family of four. This hotel was always busy in reception but had a calming atmosphere that ran throughout from the pool to the dining room. I don't normally write reviews but I do read them and some weren't that great for this hotel, so it starts to set doubt 'of what have I booked'! There were quite a few bad reviews about the breakfast but I don't know why? There was a good selection of fresh hot and cold choices, good coffee machine, fresh bread so I disagree on the reviews for this. There were Also bad reviews on staff not been helpful or couldn't be bothered??? this I really would disagree with! The staff were really helpful. Having had a bad journey the male night receptionist got us checked in quickly. I had hired a car but there were no spaces in the small carpark which is the closest to the entrance. Yet he allowed me to park in a no parking area and said he could appreciate the long journey we had had and just get to bed and explained if there is a problem in the morning someone will knock on your room. The waiting staff were all really cheerful, especially the lady that ran the pool bar I think she was called Anna ( she has short hair). Each meal they would chat with us and were so pleasant. The rooms were really clean, and made up each day, with fresh towels and all the cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. The television in the room had a large selection of channels, with English movies- that were great to switch on for a chill-out before going down for the evening meal. We stayed full-board and the lunch and evening meals were lovely, large selections of; fresh bread, starters, salad bar, main dishes and desserts which included a selection of fresh fruit.

The large pool and baby pool were both heated and there was a lifeguard on duty for the pool opening times. The lifeguard was friendly and would engage with the children. Next to the baby pool there is a small enclosed park which was great for little ones.

I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again if...

I would like to share my experience with you of my staying in Kapetanios Odysseia Hotel. Below you can see at least the most unbelievable things and situations that I faced:

Hotel manager shamelessly burst into my room. after one knock, I got up, but before I even had time to get to the door, she had already entered my room. What if I'm naked or sleeping or even in a bathroom? Thus, the hotel manager decided to check if my place was clean. Strange and not ok. Hotel Employees drew on my shirt with a pen! I sent the shirt to be washed, which had no tags on it. No one warned me that they would mark the room to which the item should be returned with a pen right on the shirt! It is impossible to vanish this drawn number on my shirt. 3.I was locked in the gym and then was blamed that employee did not see me. The gym works until 19:00, which is absurd, considering that I worked until 18 and didn’t have time to get to the gym by 19. I didn’t know about the closing time, and nobody told me. I went to the gym and was locked there. And it wasn’t the problem as I said to employee, it is ok and I did not want to claim. However, The next day, the gym employee convinced me that I was not there, since she checked everything. And she was arguing and trying to blame me for this situation. What kind of gaslighting is this? The same employee from the gym examined my face closely and said what face problems I had and that I urgently needed to get rid of acne and blackheads. The same employee from the gym was an employee of the spa. The girl decided to take a very close look at my face and tell me that I have some problems and I need to see her immediately. rude! Even without her, I know about problems with facial skin, but she doesn’t know that perhaps for the last 1.5 years I have been stressed and depressed and overloaded with various tasks, which could also cause a problems on my face. This is not good way to sell your service! In a restaurant, they poured water into a dirty glass with a fly and strong smell of alcohol! No further comments are...
