Palaontas Gyros — Restaurant in Limassol Municipality

Waited 20 minutes past the advertised opening time, but nobody was there and no preparation had yet started inside. I was lookin forward to try this place because of all the good reviews.

Hopefully I get another chance later, and then give it higher rating.

Went back two days later at 21:20, but the kitchen was already closed (advertised closing time is at 22:00).

We still got some chicken pita, but no souce. It had fresh vegetables, but chicken was dry.

We got 100% discount, and therefore I give this place one extra star;...

Simply the best! It's just a little off the main street. A hidden gem, really. My favourite is the mixed (chicken and beef) gyro with garlic sauce (it's very mild) and vegetables. Fries are made from frozen, but are tasty if you eat them right away. There is also an option to get an extra (anes'hemeni) if you are really hungry, but I would skip the fries in that case. There is also a variety of grilled meats (kebabs and sausages) and halloumi. For sauces there is a selection of tahini, yoghurt...

Palaontas is in market for a long time which is an indication of constant food quality. Tonight for the first time in my life I have experienced this pleasant unexpected incident in a take away place here in Cyprus. Due to a minor time delay, without any complaint from my side, when trying to pay that didn't happen as much as I insisted to pay. Well done Palaontas quality through all levels...
