The Ship Inn Bar-Restaurant — Restaurant in Limassol Municipality

We don't normally go to sports bars but oh my gosh are we glad we visited The Ship Inn!!! We received a friendly welcome, probably the best in all the places we've visited in Limasol to be fair. If you're interested in dull facts, there are 13 tv's! Thats gotta be a record! 😅 The food reviews are genuine with huge portions, half portion options would be fab for those who would prefer not to send wasted food back to the bins but that's not a criticism of the Ship. All restaurants are the same these days all over the World. Back to the point... the food is delicious and in my humble opinion Chef needs a payrise just for their St John's Pork Fillets the sauce was a-may-zing!!! I can't think of any restaurant meal I've ever had that beats it! We'd highly recommend a visit if you're anywhere near it. Thank you so much, best meal of the (any) holiday. Hopefully we'll see...

This place used to be one of our favorite spots. Not anymore. We went by last night after about 2 years. Disappointing! 👎 The food was bad, and the service too. Food: The chicken burger came with a tiny coleslaw, which was awful. Bland taste, too much mayo. The waitress said it come with small salad etc, she meant the lettuce and tomato that's usually in the burger. 😆 My wife's tuna wrap was full of onions, and the guacamole that accompanied it was awful. Service: The girl waitress messed up twice our order, she brought chicken wrap instead of tuna wrap initially. She brought Carlsberg beer instead of Stella, and in general she looked kind of off. The guy waiter brought at one point drinks, and he asked "who's the Stella", etc, and we didn't respond immediately and he goes like " Em, hellooo!"....

I ordered an iced Americano to go, and the waitress automatically added a 10% tip without asking me if I’d like to tip or not. When I asked about it, she first said I had selected “no tip,” but when I requested to go back to the previous step, I saw she had actually added a 10% charge. She explained that they always charge 10% for takeaway.

I don’t mind tipping, even for takeaway, and would have gladly done so, but adding it in this way feels sneaky and not transparent. Tips should be...
