We went there with my husband around 19:00. We ordered a variety starter plate, two main dishes, egg fried rice, noodles, 1 bottle of water, 1 chinesse beer and 1 coke.
The food quality was below average, precooked, heated and then served. Of course someone could argue that we went to a chinese restau so this should have been expected. Nevertheless, i owe to mention that the quality was below average compared to many other Chinese restaurants we've tried, always compared to what you pay.
We clarified in advance with the waitress that the chinese beer was from rice and said yes. The beer contained wheat as well. It was fine with us, but someone could hava allergies. Unacceptable to not know what you serve.
Overpriced for the above dishes and given the low quality. We paid €95. You know in advance what you order, but for €20 per dish, you at least expect some better quality.
The noodle dish was suppossed to be with 3 types of vegetables, and the menu did not specify which veggies. In a Chinesse restau you expect as a minimum that the veggies will be chinese as well. Firstly, the veggies were Cy: broccoli, culiflower and cy green beans plus carrots, very little bamboo and Chi baby corn. Secondly, the quantity of the noodles in the dish compared to the quantity of veggies was unacceptably low, basically the dish should have been called vegetables with noodles. Third, the amount of sauce was kind of annoyed (too much), but i can accept that this may not be a problem for someone else.
Around 20:30, as we wanted to order for the bill, we noticed that many people were already eating from a buffet. We called the manager lady to complain that she mentioned nothing about buffet availability, for which we would love to know since this way we could have tried many more dishes as well and we also learned that this would have cost €30 per person plus the drinks. We paid €95 for 2 main, 2 side and a starter. The made no discount at all. She only mentioned that we went there too early which is why she didnt mention the buffet option (she said it opens at 20:30, but at 20:30 people were already eating from the buffet) ... fair enough.
I hope the above suffice and fully justifise the 1 star.
We will be staying in the opposite clinic for 4-5 nights. Definitely they lost a client 🤷♀️.

A Perfect Dining Experience at China Spice
I had the pleasure of dining at China Spice at Montparnasse for their All You Can Eat night, and it was absolutely worth it! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the elegant atmosphere and the breathtaking view of the city—it made the whole experience feel extra special.
The food? Simply amazing. Every dish I tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The sushi was top-notch, the dim sum was delicious, the duck just perfect, and even the smaller bites had so much attention to detail. And just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, the desserts arrived. They were just as impressive as the rest of the meal—sweet, delicate, and the perfect way to end an incredible evening. The service was excellent as well. The waiters were super attentive and friendly. They definitely know how to make you feel comfy even at a high class restaurant like this.
China Spice offers more than just great food; it’s a full experience. Whether you’re coming for a special occasion or just craving excellent Asian cuisine, this place delivers on all fronts. I’ll definitely be...
Read morePlease note this is a review for a takeaway order. I had the hot and Sour soup and Dim Sum (8 pack). Now, hot and sour soup is my absolute favourite dish ever. The one from this restaurant lacks shrimp and carrot, and the tofu pieces are very small. The price however is the most expensive I have paid for this dish. Even more expensive than China, Hong Kong, Canada and the US. But in terms of ingredients, probably the least amount. I don't want to say it was bad, but it is definitely not good. The dim sum was ok, but cooked fast and at too high a temperature. By the time I received the order, they were falling apart. Don't get me wrong, I still ate the food, but considering what was received, it was extremely expensive. Considering the quality of the soup, it should not cost more than €2, and dim...
