I had an exceptional dining experience at Hokkaido Express in Egkomi, Nicosia today. This restaurant truly deserves a 10/10 rating. From the moment I walked in, I was charmed by its charming ambiance and spotless cleanliness. The service was both professional and friendly, ensuring a seamless experience.

Now, let's talk about the food - the raw dishes were of the highest quality and bursting with flavor. The main dishes were equally impressive, surpassing my expectations. What's even more remarkable is that the prices are reasonable for the exceptional quality you receive.

In fact, I can confidently say that Hokkaido Express is the best Asian restaurant I've tried in all of Cyprus. I wholeheartedly recommend it. I ordered through the Wolt platform to try their sushi and some Chinese dishes, and it was awful. The Sichuan beef wasn’t Sichuan at all. Sichuan should be a balance of spicy, numbing, and savory flavors, but this was like eating Kolokasi mixed with sugar—it was ridiculously sweet and tasted horrible. The sushi? Don't even get me started. It was massive—way too big to be called sushi. Sushi is meant to be delicate, with the right balance of rice, fish, and flavors. This was just a huge mess of rice and barely any fish, like a bloated rice ball with a random piece of fish slapped on inside. Do you even understand the philosophy behind sushi? It’s all about quality, balance, and precision. Maybe you should actually visit Japan and learn how to prepare it properly. The gyoza had zero flavor, and the lemon chicken tasted like lemon squash with extra sweetness....

We visited the restaurant without a reservation, and a kind waitress informed us it was fully booked. She graciously allowed us 90 minutes to dine before the reserved guests would start arriving, which we appreciated.

However, shortly after we began eating in an empty restaurant, the manager or owner arrived and started speaking harshly to the waitress, questioning why she let us dine when the restaurant was supposedly fully booked, even though the guests were expected to arrive in an hour. This unpleasant encounter ruined our experience and clearly upset the waitress, who had been nothing but helpful.
